From my personal point of view, V.Fork is in the same category as Hauteclaire. It's almost completely useless, except in very few situations, but still very worth getting all hot and bothered for just because of the rarity/shiny-ness.
In other news: Hey wow I didn't even think about it, level 80 will make Einherjar even easier now. Maybe consistently clearing a tier 3 with 10-15 will be a possibility now.

Einherjar is the one of the events I'm most excited about post-level raise. The only real challenge at this point for most shells is with tier3s giving out the odd "hey fuck you buddy I wanna win" mob/boss combos, so being able to deal with those better makes me happy. Needless to say, if Ein becomes capped at 75 I will be very unhappy - it's the only real "large scale" activity I do (not including dyna as you can farm with less than an ally), and with players dropping off in the next year for 14 I dread the thought of having to find replacement members to keep numbers up. I honestly think Ein is one of the events SE had in mind when deciding to raise the level cap with the expectation of XI's population growing smaller.
We lost a bunch of peeps earlier in the year and only now are we able to field a decent ish number again. We'll never hit the 30+ levels we once had. Level cap should help us a lot.

And yes looking forward to 80 cap though attendence for my shell isn't an issue but will allow me to cut some dead weight ppl
We'll be doing split runs so we can hit Odin twice as often lol.
4 Odin's a month ftw!
u guys really expecting 5 levels to make that much of a difference?
Might not make it a face roll that you can do with substantially less people, but will give LS leaders more options. Either by cutting weight or depending if your LS does 18 or 36 man runs will make T3 chamber losses less of an issue depending on mob/boss combo, or lets you do twice the odins by splitting your groups.
Yes, I expect 5 lvls to make that much difference.
That's 5*.05 = .25% more cRatio. And that's not counting more acc/attack/WSs/equipment/JAs.
T3s just became as easy as T1s and we clear T1s in 5-10 min >.>.
If they care in the slightest about balance and cba to put in the effort required I would imagine they will not make all these events uncapped, since that will break every single endgame event in the game to a joke, especially at 99. Instead adding selectable caps to enter, 75, 80 cap etc selectable upon entry with adjusted mob levels and difficulty to match those caps. I really doubt they will turn the whole game into a cakewalk unless they have lost total intrest in the game completely.
Could turn out significantly harder to do at 80 than 75 leading to most still doing them at 75 cap. Don't count your 4 Odins a month just yet.
This assuming as I said the devs still give a shit about the game, uncapped will kill the remaining playerbase off quicker than anything else they could do long term.
75 capped = Fuck that because everyone will be wearing shitty level synced gear and will probably result in failures. Increasing difficulty of all the various endgame events seems highly unlikely too because it would require too much effort on SEs part.
would be fair if they scaled it all up with the level increases
One of the reasons they're increasing the level cap to begin with is so people can lowman events and not worry about gathering 20+ (or whatever) people together. This is rampant speculation for the next hour or two until we see the patch notes, but there's no way they'll be capping it.
For us, it's made the difference between being able to beat Wing III with time to spare, and not. Yes, we're a relatively newbie group, yes we lost people due to ls drama and had to build up again but since the update the improvement has been notable. We can now win with 18-24 with no relics or anything special and its brought reluctant peeps back in. For the first time in months we had more than 24 last weekeend...
sorry this is off topic, but why would you let these kind people rejoin the group?
they (from my perspective) are the kind of ppl who quit when the going gets tough, and make it even harder for the dedicated people.
on topic, we've been beating t3's very easily now, although neph never really had any issues
Priority list?
Well, looking at my old shell:
0- E.Body -> Yeah, glad you didnt put it on the list. Single most wanted piece ever
1- N.Legs -> Rare drop, still one of the best pieces around
2- N.Head -> Was #1, but dropped down once quite a few people got their moogle hats
3- A.Body -> LS didnt camp kings. So its just natural that kings gear was in the priority list
4/5- Valhala body/helm
Really, there isnt much else in there. The spear got debanked on the magian trials, the sword never been that good, and the Shadow sets are... meh. And from the old sets, only Hecatomb has all the pieces usable. Adaman sucks, besides the body. Crimson is pratically legs only. And Zenith has a few uses because of the hp->mp, but besides that only body and hands are good.
