A friend and I got into a convo about how that can't be real / work. I just wanna know if anyone here has tried it before so I can either prove him wrong saying it doesn't work, or I can be wrong if it does work. Also for the ladies, What cologne do you all like the most? Just out of curiosity.

it's bullshit, humans rely much more on visual attraction than other animals, and rodent studies are where most of the pheromone stuff is derived from. Smell is very secondary, by a longshot. Have a girl pick your cologne or whatever for ya, but don't look for it to help you get laid.

I don't think it's even that, some mammals (mostly rodents) have an organ called a vomeronasal organ that is not a nose and detects pheromones. Reptiles have them too, but not humans. We emit smells, sure, but they don't influence the psycological behavoir of those around us....unless your farts cause people to leave the room. In mice, you can remove the vomeronasal organ and female mice will behave sexually masculine, exhibiting male sexual characteristics (they'll hump female mice from behind). If you removed a human's sense of smell, no such thing occurs. Pheromones don't work on humans, we don't emit them, if you wanna seem attractive to rodents, then buy some pheromones, if you wanna hook up with human women, go to the gym and work out.

I rock whatever my girlfriend buys me, she digs davidoff cool water. Funny enough she also likes some of those axe sprays. But yeah best bet is to let a girl pick the cologne, they know what they like.
