    Another one bites the dust...

    http://www.weirdasianews.com/2007/09/16 ... -marathon/

A Chinese gamer in a Chinese cyber cafe died after a 3 day marathon doing stuff online. It doesn't actually say he played games continuously but I guess he sat there for 3 days. It's pretty crazy...I never knew some online companies are offering a system where the subscriber pays by donating blood. ACTUAL BLOOD.

Shouldn't a cyber cafe probably kick someone out if they are sitting there for 3 straight days...there must be some common sense mang!

3 days is nothing, i knew a guy who was a married pilot with 2-3 kids, got addicted to FFXI, and used to stay in the cyber cafe for 2 straight weeks. After the addiction, he got divorced, and just neglected his family.

well, he slept in the cafe, had noodles for breakfast, lunch, dinner...unless someone gets him something better. Eventually, the owner of the shop realized whats happening...then guess what he does? he gives him free access to the internet in his shop because, he's a "friend" and a "hardcore" player. I think he's still addicted, but he plays WoW now.
He was one of the best ninjas of his time.

I seriously think they should make an auto-force-Disconnection from online games, after a certain period of time. The shit that you hear about is really frightening, also, i heard somewhere, that they have an actual medical name for such cases.

3 days without sleeping != 2 weeks with sleeping.

I did 60 hours straight when FFX first came out, only really moved to make toast and go to the toilet. But I was on my own at uni for a week so I had nothing better to do. It's wierd though, after long enough, you start seeing things out of the corner of your eye, like things moving... Wouldn't recommend it!

    My beautiful bazaar!

Think worst I've done is a 2-3 day stretch of only sleeping for about 3hrs/day and between any/all windows, but I still went outside to buy some food and the little sleep I got wasn't with my face in a keyboard, I was actually in a bed. (Only one shower in that stretch )
