Switching to XP from Vista

If I have Windows Vista Basic and want to switch to XP proffessional do I have to get the Upgrade Disk or Full Version? <.<

full version, you will also want to delete all partitions that vista made, and make a new one, then format (sans quick, so the full format) just to get rid of everything vista could possibly leave behind to make your life harder, hope it works for you it maybe a pain todo but it should work, you'll need to boot from the CD as well, as xp's installer isnt gonna let you install over something newer than it in windows
