So tell me Charitwo, if Ganiman's complete accounting of the Fundraiser (see 1st thread, page 40) was correct as he claims, how come he explicitly asks Gil from Wikia to "chip in".

Wikia was generous and offered to pay for some or all of the the giveaway if we desired. We originally accepted because, well, why not.

I believe what they are trying to say is that yes they were hacked and some information was found out, but it was taken out of context (ie Gil offered to pay for the give-away) and the rest was fabricated shopped lies by Taj (or whomever they believe is responsible)

This pic also shows what is probably the real reason it took so long for this response to come out... he probably did the same thing here. He probably drafted up a response and sent it back and forth to all parties involved, allowing them to close up any gaps in the story and have people get their shit straight.

I'm not inclined to believe them, but since Ganiman finally said SOMETHING in response to that last thread, I'm just going to take a wait and see attitude toward this issue from this point on.

btw, guys. If any of you have issues with what's been said here, I don't suggest you post them in this thread, but rather, contact Ganiman or Gil, or whoever you want to ask directly.

Posting here gives them a chance to read it and possibly get together and make up a reasonably believable response, even if it's not true. You want to get a response to these questions at a time when they don't have a chance to think up something to say about it.

Reason? They've explicitly said if we have questions they will respond on this thread to those questions. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see how they dance around questions like "What happened with the $500/month SE gave you?" and "If those emails are true how can you say there was no missing money when it was explicitly said there was?" Statements like "out of context" can't touch questions like that, or at least will be quite amusing to see them dance around.
