I'm really confused on how this whole process works is there somewhere that it's explained or someone that can make a tutorial of some sort?

Planex(instead of Wifi Max) supports vista kinda, I'm sure wifi max does too but I can't find a tutorial.

So all I do is just buy a "GW-US54Mini2G " (Which is the planex thing i assume? If not please correct me)

then put it in my computer and download the stuff they tell me too. While not installing anything it came with? (Carrying this over from the wifi max thing)

edit : where can i buy it online aside from ebay?

they're 2 different things.

Wifi Max is one thing you can use, it's more popular and has youtube videos showing how to set it up. Planex is another choice, and it has that guide to installing.

Is one better than the other? Hell if I know, I got a planex, it seems to work ok but I haven't gotten a chance to test it yet =/ Was definitely a lot harder to install than what that youtube vid showed though

Don't hold me to this >.> but it was my understanding that what dictates who you can play with is not the USB Wifi Card but Xlink Kai. Kai is where you will find lobbies and rooms with players, so since either of these will allow your PSP to connect to Kai, then yes, i would imagine MaxWifi and Planex can all play together.

Again... that is just my understanding, i don't have any firsthand knowledge.

I think I have the damn thing working, finally. Turns out they sent me the wrong USB thingy, but this one seems to work with Kai too, after a bit of struggle. I need someone to get on kai with so I can test this thing and see if it's working like it's supposed to

which one did you buy a planex or wifi max?

apparently you have to do this for it to work

I actually figured it out last night, you have to make sure you can play games on kai first, such as MHF once you know your compatible then you follow these simple instructions:

PSP MAX USERS ONLY:

Make sure you are NOT connected to kai with ZD

Goto FFT on kai's arena list

Open an arena for two people and wait for a player to show

When your ready to play (your in the tavern just about to hit host or join) you ask the other player to ready his selection as well

You tell him to hit join or w/e you hit host then on ZD interface REFRESH the wireless connection and psp will pop up double click it, it will connect then kai will pick up the signal and link you to the network.

If your partner does the same thing correctly you will find a message saying PARTNER FOUND! your good to go from there~

i bought a wifimax ages ago when i had my DS to try to connect to wifi, but whatever i tried it wouldn't work ¬_¬ so i bought the official USB connector for DS

now that i have a PSP though, i now may still have a use for it...hopefully it'll work for the PSP
