DRK damage formulas, borrowing the formatting style from the BMG:

Sanguine Sword and Infernal Strike
[(PA * 4/5) * WP] (that's not a typo, you truncate it after you multiply it with the WP)

Crushing Blow
PA * (WP + 2)

Not sure on the % of Stop yet, but probably ~20%

Abyssal Blade - Range dependant
Each use costs Ru{MaxHP/5} HP

1 Tile Away => PA * (WP + 3)
2 Tiles Away => PA * (WP + 1)
3 Tiles Away => [PA / 2] * WP

All of them are physical attacks.

Haven't figured out Unholy Sacrifice yet. I know its:
- Based on PA, MA and Max HP. Current HP doesn't matter
- It's considered a magical attack, unlike the other 4
- Ignores WP
- Costs 3/10 of your Max HP to use. You can die from using it.

But I have no idea what the formula looks like (yet!)

Yeah, I only noticed yesterday, but they increased the JP required on some jobs by so much, it took forever to master Black Mage. It's definetly worth it though, I'm only on chapter 3 and my DRK is basically putting all of my other units to shame already.

I'm just using a generic male (specifically got one with a Taurus sign, for worst possible compatibility with Orlandu if I get into multiplayer battles later on ). Planning on making Ramza a regular Draw Out BLM until I figure out something more interesting to try. I've kinda had my eye on Geomancers (to try to get some use out of Ramza's male PA and female MA) and how far I could push their damage, but I'm still not too sure how that's gonna turn out

Beat the game last night. Balthier was a champ in the final few battles. He could destroy weapons/armor at ranged aswell as put out great damage with Barrage. In my books he is the best character in the game.

fuck, now I want to go play tactics (PS1, even though I do want to play the PSP version... I just don't have a PSP.) again.

I can't decide what I want Ramza to be though.

I have the same problem (no psp). I made him a monk/squire to mix it up from my normal game breaking Dual wielding Squire/Lancer, and hes ever more game breaking! He hit Velious for 350 for god sakes, also one shotted the guy (can't think of his name) in the battle right before that.

If you want to be even more daring, try a mage job. I've never tried that but you can get him to a permanent 97 faith so he should rape face.

My Ramza is currently NIN with dual wielding bare fists, and brawler as his support ability, it is pretty awesome.

Then he has Mettle (Guts) for his other ability to do Focus.

Eh, main class Squire Ramza will always trump others, if only for his enhanced stat gains on Squire. Personally, I think Squire/Samurai is the best, I do that every time and he's.. Impossible to defeat.

I'm getting an adapter to run it off my wi-fi sometime soon, probably this or next week, then I'm all for as much multiplayer as I can get. I'm still kinda not sure on how to set it up properly with my connection, but I guess I can worry about that once I'm actually ready to start multiplayer stuff

basically, if you have any of these routers: (obviously not the NOT SUPPORTED ones, unlucky for me I had a linksys v5 =/)

This firmware is for Linksys WRT54G/GS & Buffalo WBR-G54 routers only! The newest Linksys WRT54G v4 & v5, and WRT54GS v3 & v4 are not supported.

You can install a custom firmware that lets the router connect with the xlink stuff

Otherwise, you need a PLANEX WiFi USB Adapter GW-US54Mini2W or a Wifi Max.

(i think, didn't do too much research, I got a planex one because it supports all systems, whereas wifi max went and split their product up, one only works for wii, one only for ds, one only for psp, etc(and wifimax was $10 more expensive <_<))
