eh id say no chance in hell, SE likes time sinks but they know better then to pull that one, they would lose a lot more people then have be sucked into that, althought i would be ok since chemist is perfectly fine for me

the term monk is kinda misleading. isnt it called like brawler or grappler in the jp version? anyways if your going to call males monk then something like miko or shrine maiden would be more apropiate than nun. i heard somewhere that current day vana'diel monks are a combination of 2 different jobs but i could never find a source proving that.

its quite funny, cos the term in JP is ??? (MONKU) which is pure katakana phonetics. This means that it's a borrowed word and bears no actual meaning in japanese..

This is kinda similar to what the JP officially call paladin (???= NAITO) which is also a borrowed word, but it basically means Knight.

The only thing SE has done which remotely makes you redo things is switching nations i mean sure theres a point to ranking up again.. but you do lose all of your OPS which is a pretty bad thing sometimes

It's not explicitly stated anywhere that it will be support. The only past FF where Dancer was a support job was in Tactics. In the main series FF, it was a DD, and one of its dances could charm enemies.
