Some of you are seriously overreacting, I can't see how you can already decide you'll hate it despite not knowing what it can do or how it works (we can get a general picture from previous games, but we don't know specifics of course). Even if it ends up being a job you wouldn't level yourself, it could still be something you'd like to have in a party.

I'm kinda interested in how they implement this, especially since its something I really didn't expect. I kind of like the look of the AF too, though the picture doesn't do a good job of showing many details. It probably will look pretty silly on males though. :/

Why do people complain about Dancer already....
I can see this to become a really funny and good job.
Dancer was not bad at all in previous Final Fantasy Games,
when I remember songs from old games.

People want support jobs and they get a brand new support job.
Dancer>Time Mage imo. We have RDM so no need really for Time Mage,
or they will start crying.
(And don´t say we don´t need a Dancer because of Bard )

Dancer could bring way more new stuff.

Dancer could make sense with H2H skill, or staff skill so they can use poles.

Come on, only the dorkiest of programmers would think THIS stuff is "cool" and "hip".

I don't think it's intended to really be cool at all, I'd say it's closer to cheesy humor and pop culture references, which I like :D I'd rather have a corny dance like that than something SE would think up. Ten bucks says if we actually do get dancer the animations are either going to be boring or ugly as hell (like male elf summoning). I'd still totally level it anyway, but it'd be nice to not look at my character and cringe.
(And I specifically made a priest so I could cover up my ugly cow feet with robes, lol)

Maybe your animation/dance depends on subjob? Like, white mage sub is a waltz. Black mage could then be old school hip hop. Then red mage could be Moonwalk...

If we're still rumored to get another 2 possible melee jobs, wasn't (if memory serves correct) Geomancer decent with AXE or GREAT AXE? i don't remember clearly, again, tactics really anything possibly equip able was enabled for many jobs.
