Not sure how authentic this is, and it doesn't reveal a whole lot anyway, but this is from a thread on KI.

Hai gaiz, I just watched the trailer at SE booth here in TGS, and what I can say is that Dancer was meleeing in the footage.

A brunette hume in red AF is seen slashing some monsters, and as she uses what looks like a WS, the mob is surrounded by a big rose and vines, and seems to takes damages. There was also a CS with her dancing in a pub.

For the other stuff in the trailer, you could see the Tarutaru activating Cardians, an elf kid fighting an orc warlord (and saying don`t understimate me because I`m a kid), some army (San D`orian?) mounting black chocobos and preparing to quit their castle, Yagudo priests doing voodoo stuff, desolated lands with remanents of explosions (konshtat?) with a sad (white?) mage who`s looking for something/someone, a Galka who looks like the one who gives the DRK job and a beared hume taking on the Shadowlord`s castle in Xarcabard, the same Shadowlord looking cool in his throneroom, and a baby mithra crying over slaughtered peoples bodies.

Well... that said, the trailer was very nostalgic, sad, and you could say that the thema is Lets rebuilt our destroyed world.

Well, FFVI's Mog was a Geomancer that danced. Traditionally, Dancers are not Geomancers, and vice versa. We know the screenshot isn't of a Geomancer because Geomancers wear fluffy snow suits and pajamas.

Sounds like a Dancer/Geomancer mix sorta like Mog of FFVI.

I'm surprised the video hasn't surfaced yet. Could be an interesting job, I guess I'm just a little shocked still. I really didn't think SE would make dancer. O_o

The reason I put it that way is because the only "Dancer" part of what Mog did was the name of the command.

Traditional main series FF dancers had specific dances and effects they did, and none of what Mog did had anything to do with Dancer. It was all Geomancer stuff, but with the text "Dance" for the command, and the opera themed attack names (e.g. Water Rondo, Desert Aria, etc.)

I'd imagine if SE was introducing Dancer, they'd make it an actual Dancer this time. If it was just going to be Geomancer, but with "Dance" written on the command name, they could have made the snowsuit/pajama AF, instead. It'd have looked cooler.

I guess this means there will finally be a use for dancer.enc!
