Just finished the game a few minutes ago. Have to agree with Deejay, this game is fucking epic, especially the seventh level. Just wondering has anyone beat it doing 4 person co-op? if so [Spoiler]How does the last level work in that case? is there just two warthogs or what?[Spoiler]

I meant that it might deserve its stature, I haven't played Halo yet... I do think that people are overrating it more than freaking Final Fantasy, but I can't tell whether its deserving of the attention its getting or not until I actually try it out for myself. (bought Halo1 and 2 today... hopefully I can finish them soon so I can pick up 3..)

If your friends are like me and suck at FPS, you'd have more fun playing Smash. Or alternatively if you're all good at fighting games (like my friends from college) you'd have more fun playing GGXX. But FPS are more popular than fighting games (in America), so I guess you're closer to right.

I'm enjoying Halo 3, but it wasn't the leap that Halo1->Halo 2 was. Halo 2 had better multiplayer maps imo.

Apparently it's overrated if you don't like halo in general or if you never played the game.............................................. ..

That's at least what I'm picking up from the general negative standpoint of most people. I like halo, the game delivered for me. I'm a PC FPS player at heart, and I'll always take an FPS that is out for both on PC first, but Halo is the most fun online-console fps I have played. It's slower based and gay to aim and a number of things I normally would hate in an fps game, but it just works for this particular one. For some reason I like the online community a little better as well, I'm not really sure why. I guess because the people I play with are always good for a laugh. Not that they are funny, but because they are just easy to laugh at. I swear I run into so many white kids that pretend they are black, it's enough to put me in tears sometimes because of where I grew up and live now.

I've played both Halo and Halo2. Not consistently nor did I play them all the way through, just some multiplayer really and I enjoyed them. I got Halo 3 last night and played for a couple hours. My brother and I laughed at this game the entire time... the coolest part was modifying my suit and colors WOW!

1. The guns suck just as much as they did in the previous 2.
2. Nothing more fun than jumping and shooting and jumping and shooting and jumping and jumping...........
3. I played campaign and its a joke. Do you all really care about the story? Video game stories dont really do it for me anymore unles its something like FF where you need it.
4. Just regular movement in multiplayer is slow...

I only played for about 3 hours but I was completely disappointed. This might just be the worst FPS I have played out of all the major name FPS in the last 1+ years. (Gears, FEAR, Resistance, GRAW2 etc.)

I hope I missed something last night or this game is fail.

I was reminded yesterday why I rarely play Halo online with the headset. I am not the greatest person at the game I know. I don't live Halo 2. That I guess is enough reason for people to be jerks and just say stupid ass shit. Weeee for the anonymity the internet gives you!

Edit:: After I beat it on single player legendary I was informed that you can beat it on 4 player Co-Op Legendary and get the Achievements AND the final two cutscenes

Which guns? The pistol is still nerfed. The SMG seems kinda off too. But they added so many new weapons that I find it hard to believe that you've spent a decent enough time with all of them to say that.

Believe it or not, halo has a pretty epic story. Just because you don't care to pay attention doesn't mean its not there. Does there needs to be a prepubescent boy struggling to find his personality while trying to save the world with a handful of unique friends the only type of story that gets you interested? lol.

Don't mean to sound harsh, but if you seriously think FEAR, GRAW2, and even Resistance are better FPS's than your take on good games kinda blows lol. Now if you said you simply liked those games more then things would be different.

People are putting Halo 3 into their consoles and expecting it to show them meaning of life. If you're not going to give the game a chance then why play it? lol. Not trying to pick on you personally, but it's annoying reading all the people who are going on saying "HEY I PLAID HALU FOR 15 MIN N IT BLOWS!"

But atleast you're not like maxx who's bashing the game based on shitty reviews lol.
