I really wish the penalty for quitting was a bit heavier. Like if people who quit a certain number of times(3-5) in a short time, their accounts get a temp ban from Halo 3. As much as an ego boost it is to actually win 2 vs 5 ... it drives me nuts.

In Team Slayer it's so much easier to win 2v5 then 5v2.

I finally sat down and played the campaign mode on Normal yesterday, I got the achievement for it but on my record online it still says enlisted for duty....am I suppose to do something after I beat it or is it just messed up?

-1 XP if you quit a team game, no penalty if you quit an FFA.

alright cool, sounds good, i gotta get my skulls farmed first (btw, the second skull in lvl cortana, isn't a blind skull. I picked it up and it did nothing(and i dont have blind skull yet)

the four silver skulls dont give a visible achievement unlocked as they arent exactly "achievements" i guess, so when you find them you just have to pick them up wait a couple secs then drop it and move on.

make sure you dont have any skulls active when doing them either. i had a couple on (grunt birthday and something else i think) and i couldnt get the last silver because of it. ended up having to do "The Ark" multiple (nearly 7 times i spect) because of it ><+

Some people say that it's only -1exp for the first person dropping. After that, anyone else can drop with no penalty. Can anyone comment on this?

I've dropped games before and not lost EXP so something like that must be true somehow. Or maybe I'm crazy?

Also, picking up the skull on the level gives you a big point bonus so if you turn a skull on try to go pick it up too because you'll get a nice bonus thanks to it. It's fun doing a 4 party online co-op campaign with FFA meta scores. Especially during the little "cortana in my head" moments, people are just trying to just ahead of one another or melee eachother to make sure they get to the cov/flood first for those points.

The best is dropping a deployable cover in front of someone from behind and running around them while they are caught up in it. It adds a fun element when you're competing for points imo :D

and i <3 live aswell, game balance is fairly good but sometimes i get a "wtf" moment due to lag and i dont get a kill for whatever reason. though i have to admit, i was never really good at the bxr/rrx combinations, but i miss them all the same ; ;

blind skull is the first silver you encounter in the campagin, located on Sierra 117

Location:
The ‘Blind Skull’ is the first Silver Skulls in Halo 3, found in the first mission near the beginning of the level.

After your first encounter with the Gold Armor Brute, two enemy dropships appear a bit further down the stream. Go towards the dropship furthest away, and stay on the right side of the stream. Continue along the right towards the cliff edge, and a rock will jut out a bit over the large lake. The Blind Skull is located on this rock.

Location:

The Skull is located in the level, “The Covenant”. YOU MUST START FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE MISSION (i.e. do not select an insertion point). After defeating the Scarabs, and going inside, get to the location with all 7 Ring Holograms. You must jump through the rings in a specific order. That order is as follows (1 is at the entrance, 7 is at the end):

These rings also produce the notes:

After jumping through them in this sequence, the rings will start to light up and you will be awarded the “I Would Have Been Your Daddy Skull”. It will be right next to the bridge that brings you over to the Prophet of Truth.

NOTE: YOU MAY NEED TO KILL THE PROPHET OF TRUTH, AND THE FLOOD BEFORE DOING THE RING JUMPS!

*You DO NOT need the 27 number sequence, the last seven work great.

* You can get the skull on Normal, Heroic, or Legendary.

* No skulls have to be active

* You can work as a team, have one person jump through a ring then another, provided they are in the correct order. This will speed things up for you.

what do you mean? i havnt experienced this (yet im sure) online, but if there is a double shot/combo id love to figure that out, especially if it its easier to pull off than the h2 combo. idk why but i love finding these little things that make the difference in game play and hidden things @.@

i dont know alot about networking but could i connect two xbox's by a ethernet cable and play a game like that or do i need a hub?

you dont need a hub, but you might need a crossover cable. Unless the network port in the Xbox works like those of a switch.

regular xbox needed crossover cable, so i would assume 360 does as well.

Matchmaking has really been pissing me off today, as well as some other days, because of the incredible amount of shitty players on here. I can't tell you how many team slayers I've lost because there's a couple guys on my team who get <5 kills, and how many territories games I've lost because people have no idea how to work as a team and they think they can go capture an area that's guarded by three guys all by themselves. Does everyone else get people like this too or am I just a noob magnet?

Armor Permutations and Flames

I’m making a list, I’m checking it twice, and it’s a list of dumb messages (and perfectly polite ones) inquiring about the Recon armor permutation. The short answer to those inquiries is, “No, you can’t have it.” The people you see with the Recon helmet are Bungie employees, and they did nothing in-game to unlock it. There is nothing you can do to unlock it.


The same counts for the flames. Don’t be too jealous however, since the flaming head makes us a giant target and is reflected in our online performances sometimes. Sending us angry or rude messages won’t help and our policy now is to simply block communications with folks who’re rude and our sincere apologies to the polite folks, that we don’t have enough time to answer your question individually.
