Not me... I managed to reserve mine in a town than has a law against stores staying open after 10. Instead, I get called into work for crowd control on people smarter than me who reserved it at a store with a midnight release! lol

I went to my mall at 9pm to pay off the rest of my reserve, they told me at 930 everyone will be kicked out, and allowed back in at 10pm, and then wait in line again inside until 12am.

Well, I sat in my car until 10, unlike the 500 people in the cold yelling "SPARTAAAA" and other obnoxious shit, where I was warm and cozy listening to music. They opened doors and I said Fuck It, i wasn't feeling good, so I went home. Sitting until 10 was gay, I wasn't about to stand with 500 douschebag wiggers and posers that think they are cool cause they are getting halo "before everyone else" lol. Gayest crowd of people ever, thank you exo for saying "go home" lol. I'll get my copy at 9am when it's quiet and while all those kids are at school.

A friend of mine is a manager at eb and told me there were kids who ditched school and were in line since the store opened today. So don't expect it to be wigger free tomorrow morning!

200+ people came in tonight. I actually had a blast with these people. Everyone was excited and was there to have a good time. Ill have to post some of our pics and my video.

had a blast at the release i went to, was lucky enough to stand in line next to some hilarious guys, got to talk football and make fun of people that looked like they sucked at life. got there at 10 after 11 and was at my friends house by 1215 :D

And if you didn't preorder Halo don't expect to get a copy tonight. Gamestop is being gay and only selling Midnight release halo's to reserves. You could get lucky with a nice manager, but don't count on it.

Shrug, I think its the other way around, not like it matters anymore, but for future reference.. they are supposed to be selling both preordered games and non-preordered games. We had people start 'purchasing' their games at 9 (even if preordered, they had to go in and make the sale official, since its just a reservation til they get their receipt, just as if they were picking up the game, but they get a slip) then at 12 they file in, get their game, and go. At the time people were purchasing, people who hadn't put any money down could pay for it and they all got shuffled back into the same line, first come, first serve. I'm sure we had people who didn't preorder get theirs before people who did, but then again, we had enough to go around, and then some. We had something like 60 Legendary boxes left over to move to the back room (ugh) and a ton of the others as well. Anyhow, I rambled, but from what I've learned, Gamestop policy is to sell to everyone, not just preorders, so you kinda gotta not get unlucky.

As far as the crowd, I loved it. I was the door guy; kept the line organized, and let people go in as people shuffled out. It was thoroughly annoying as I had to repeat the same stuff to every group of 5-6 people who came to the door ready to go in, with a total of like 400+ people there... Then they'd go in, next group hadn't heard me cuz they were talking so I got to do it again. That was 9-12. 12-1 was quick, people shuffle in, and go. Anyhow, I loved it, people were jokin around, having a blast, I was talkin to people about the game, we had a halo 2 tourney goin, some music, some games, was badass.

We have a walmart in the same plaza, they share parking lots... We had the aforementioned 400 people in a line for hours, Walmart didnt have one person it looked like. Kinda odd. And the Walmart by my home released at 12:01 too, yet it was barren.

In all serious, I had 400+ reserves and only 9 extra regulars, 2 limited and only one legenday b/c of a cancellation.
