The best Special forces?

Wow, it's amazing how many Military Experts BG has on it...

As far as best Special Forces... I had a chance to server with TF-11 (joint nation task force.) They aren't a typical special forces group... If I remember correctly they had a few Delta's, Romainian Spec Ops, Air Force PJ's a few Seals and a sprinkle of SAS to top it off. I dropped a team of these guys off in South East Afghanistan in early 2002... It was cold as fuck.. single digits easily... They got out and they didn't come back for around 2 months. I'm guessing they setup some sort of firebase right near the boarder and had it out for a few months. They all went out clean cut pretty military guys and came back looking like a bunch of Cavemen.

I don't care who the special operations guys serve for going out with a small team extremely far from a secure location deserves anyones respect... Hell even doing a Patrol outside of a base camp deserves as much respect as any Special ops team...

Israel's military in general is pretty nuts, not even mentioning their special forces.

What you have to consider when you think about the Israelis, they have basically been in a state of war or extended conflict for the last two thousand years or so. And have been/are currently surrounded by many other nations and people that fanatically hate them, and believe their existence is an affront to their religion and belief systems.

My old roomie was of Palestinian ancestry and his opposition to Israel was political rather than religion.. his great uncle was kicked outta his home in '48 to make room for Israelis and fuck, I'd be pissed too if that happened to me. He didn't make it out to be a religious conflict at all, but it just doesn't excuse terrorism, though.

About the topic, Israel's measuring its might against relatively weak Arab nations, and of course, there's no contest. Arabs are (or were?) highly untrained, but have tons of money (originally buying inferior shit from the USSR, and now they're spending their money here ). Anyways, for fighting unconventional, guerrilla wars (which is what we're involved), Israel is dominant in that, for sure, because of dealing with extremists for years. Not a bit surprised the U.S. asks Israel for advice and training for something Israel knows how to deal with pretty damn well-- minus that latest conflict with Hezbollah.

I wouldn't be surprised if US did ask Israel for training. Who'd be the better expert at terrorism then the world masters of terrorism?
