There are corporate Subways and franchised Subways, as with most chain-style-restaraunts, so shit varies depending on where you go. At my Subway, the prices are always the same - you're probably just going a franchised place that has a weird owner. /shrug

It's just like Taco Bell or any other franchised restaurant. I pay $.99 for the ½lb burritos that I usually get at this one Taco Bell, but the Taco Bell that is like 2 miles away from that one sells them for $1.39. Kinda makes me mad because my friends always wanna go to the more expensive one.

I usually don't go to subway anymore. Publix seems to have really good subs in their deli for a little bit less. (Publix is a grocery store btw, I think people up north and out west don't have them.) I remember when Brennan (FFXI player back in my day) came to visit, he was from Pitsburgh and when we passed a Publix, he thought it said "Pubix." oh what a rofl.

Quiznos sucks, I don't know how anyone can actually stomach that trash. Every one they open near me (Philly area) crashes and burns within 3 months because it can't compare with the local deli's. Hell Subway sucks too, they give you like 2 slices of meat and a pound of lettuce on every sandwich (though I admit I love their bread).

Local family owned Deli's ftw, its the only way to go.

Subway is meh, Quizznos is meh, everything is meh compared to Pickle Barrel.

If you ever come through Bozeman or Billings Montana you have to find a Pickle Barrel and enjoy pure sub heaven.

As for the pricing...i always order my sub with extra cheese and sometimes i pay an extra $2 and other times it is less than advertised, so i just figure in the end its a wash and i am glad i am not their accountant.

Depends on the day, yes. Each day there is a sub with special 1-1.5$ lower price (like Turkey Breast on Tuesdays, etc.) Ask them the day's speical if you want something cheap.

Oh yea, and they "adjust" their prices alot.

If subway was that expensive, i'd just hit up quizno's. Subway subs are so plain and bland, the only reason I ever go there is because its cheaper then quizno's. If it's the same price, for me, i'd go to quiz and get my chicken carbonara.

Fake sub places suck anyway, go to a real sub place.

as far as chain sammich places - Potbelly's is where to go. Other than that small pizza/italian deli's are the best for HOAGIES. I know people are all about Geno's and Pat's, but meh I'm always disappointed whenever I go there for a cheesesteak
