So last night after studying me and my friend had about an hour and a half to exp on our lvl 50 jobs together before we had to goto bed so we could get up for the quiz this morning. There's not many people looking but we manage to get a party together and were going to go out to quicksand caves as it was really the only lvl appropriate place for us to go 48-50.

The last member we invited was a blu with a gimpy sub. We debated not inviting him but there was no one else to invite. So as we are about to tele-altep when the blu informs us that he does not have that crystal.

I then proceed to flip out at him as there is still no one else for us to invite and we don't have time for him to walk out there before we have to goto bed. I used such fantastic phrases as "fucking dumbass" and told him he was a noob and should level his sub and as expected he left. The whm in the party then tells me I was horribly rude (I was trying to be, as I thought justifiably so) and proceeds to leave also, thus effectively killing our chanced to exp last night.

I'm just wondering if you guys think I stepped over the line. I mean I wend and got all of the gate crystals while things could still agro me at like lvl 30. I would think that someone level 50 would make that a priority to get something that basic.

Even if there was no one else it's not his fault you have a bed time, though it is his fault he was so ridiculously underwhelming it's not like you had to have him, could have easily searched for DD's not LFG.

I think you were pretty inconsiderate, not in what you said to him but the way you expressed it. You could, perhaps, have called him an idiot instead of a fucking dumbass so as not to offend other party members. Also, if you had said it in tell and removed him from the party, you could maybe have gone to QSC with 5 for that hour and a half you had. Moral of the story: call retards out in tell so you keep your whm. :D

To be blunt & honest, if you invite someone and they end up sucking/being gimp/not having access to areas, that is mostly your own fault. Yea it's expected for people to meet certain standards but thats what /tell and search comment are for, I'd think its common sense to know who you are inviting.

Either way my advice is: for your own sake and others, just check before inviting next time. So you dont invite someone, embarrass them, kick them, and then end up wasting everyone's time.

Probably a bit too harsh, but people tend to snap sometimes, especially when it's along the lines of this, where you put in X amount of time/effort, for gear, merits, food, level a new job, and then here's JoeStupid who doesn't give half a shit. It drives me nuts when people don't have all the SP, and not even having the teleport crystals is... Add to the gimp sub, and i'm guessing, horribly gimp gear, I can understand someone snapping. Just don't do it to everyone >_>

You were 100% justified. Altep/Yhoat/Vahzl telepoints are things that are *ridiculously* easy to solo by 50, and should be done by anyone who actually cares about the game by no later than 40 for Altep/Yhoat, 50 for Vahzl. Earlier is better, and it's certainly possible to get all of them at 25 if you're a WHM or RDM, or willing to spend some cash on oils and powders. I take the same viewpoint towards people who don't have the useful staging points by the time it comes to exp at them. Halvung by 60, Az Isle by 65, Mamook and Nyzul by 70. Any of those are soloable with some patience and oils/powders, so there's zero excuses besides "I'm too lazy to get a clue" to not have them.

You were a little harsh, but obviously if someone's that lazy, they need a wake-up call, and being nice and considerate about telling them they're a god damn retard doesn't always get the message across. Just do it in /tell next time. About it being your fault for inviting them, it very certainly is. As party leader, it's also your fault if they continue to remain in the party after you realize that they're a waste of space. Don't be an idiot and continue committing that error just to avoid having to confront them and fix the problem.

Well, yes I think you kind went too far. While you had every right to point out that he "should" have the crystal, you might have been not so nasty about it... wasn't called for. I've been in similar situations, where people don't have the staging point, or teleport. Just say, "Xyz, sorry but we are going to have to get someone else. Its a bit late atm, and we can't afford the time to wait for you or escort you to the area. Sorry, and good luck". Then maybe ask him in /tell to disband, or drop him from the party.

Some people who play the game, aren't the brightest or most concerned with them "gimping" everyone else by being behing on things like that or thier lack effort. I try not to put up with it myself. Though the person could be 10 years old, or just don't play the game enough to do the things he should. It was probably late, and you were tired and frustrated... though maybe an apology would be in order. I don't think he deserved such harshness.

He did deserve to be dropped yes. But hardly being called the names he was.

I've never snapped before is the thing, hence me asking. I usually just quietly talk abut them behind their back in /l.

Actually way less than that, if I read it correctly; I'm sure that's where the pressure came from that caused the outburst.

Yep. In addition to Garlaige you mentioned, which is just 5 mins away, there is also Crawlers Nest with Rumble Crawlers, and Beetles near the Rumbler area also. KRT I usually try at 50+.

My THF comment usually says "have a mage puller please" since asking DD to pull usually signals lack of RDM/BRD/COR i.e. chain #4 party.
