Pretty straightforward. Line is advertised for up to 10mbps down (cable, so it's shared, but still), and no matter what I simply cannot top 1mbps while downloading stuff. If I'm downloading one thing that single torrent will go 1mbps (should the seeders allow it), if I'm downloading 2-x, they'll divy themselves up to equal 1mbps. I've made sure uTorrent's download is speed is set to Unlimited, but other than that, I can only think it's some sort of ISP/modem restriction?
At peak speeds having only 1/10th my advertised speed is a rather large qualm at this point, and I'd like to get this addressed. If it does turn out to be a restriction on the ISP side, what's the point in having a 10mbps line if you can only ever use 1mbps?
Anyways, any help would be appreciated.
