Check out Eve Uni. I've known a couple people who went through their program and have become good pilots. After learning the basics you can try your hand at RvB. I wouldn't stay in RvB too long because I'm seem some people pick up bad habits (alot of their fights aren't how low/null sec fights go).

I think the best advice is to just go do things. Maybe thats vague?

In my case, I was mostly indy and just popped the game once in awhile. When I started playing harcore I mined my brains out, did a little missioning but found I was good at playing the market. Thats how i make my money to this day.

I joined a corp that was openly recruiting, and stayed with them to this day. I've found my self going from high sec, to low sec roams, to now full null. After simply particapting in as many fleets and missions as possible I found I liked missile boating, bombing and blockade running. All in all, it was just being active that molded my first 10m SP, and fining out what I love is molding my next 10m.

Thanks for the advice. I like a more structured play style, so I'm going to see what this Eve University is all about. I'm really enjoying the tutorials so far.

So get this. I'm in BL and we were on a move op to our new staging system. We had probably 60 dreads that we were just moving. We were 1 dread jump from the system. Broadcast comes out and we are temp blue to HBC for this fight.
