Managed to finally get into a BS, I want a jump clone so i can mess around in pvp, got like 180mill in implants, doinng SoE lvl 3's and 4's.
1 day I will be the best
I gots to train up for a loki... I can fly the proteus full out but not much call for them.
Yeah the problem with the proteus is that there isn't a really good rail fitting for one (as far as I know) and blasters require you to be in close. Most fleet fights now are about kiting away, not getting close with blaster range.
All I use it for now is cloaky gangs.
Because it was too close to real money, I thought PLEX were indestructible.
You can lose them, sure, but the only way to make them disappear was to use them.
O.o
Goon ganked a 8 bill obelisk last night near kits...lol you know guy was pissed.
On a side note don't you hate wars where they don't come at you? In one right now where the corp only goes for our new players.
We are war dec'd at all times. Some times by more then one group. They stay in high sec, and only go after new dudes, and JFs.
They also refuse to fight, ever. If you form up any sort of group and show up, they dock up.
Some BLOPs fun from last night:

Oh and to make it better, they were shitting up local right before we jumped in:

As BLOPS pilot, thats pretty boss. Fuckin love me carrier kills. Couldn't believe it when I killed my first Nidhogurr. Guess when you make 200-500+ a day in a carrier, you dont give a shit about losing them...
Didn't know you moved up to bloops tekki, grats. Thought you just flew bombers. Training now for my thanatos.
Lol you'll be ratting for a long time to make that in a carrier. I'm telling you, C5 wormholes if you want to make the big bucks. The shitty part is the logistics though. Personally I've been running L4 Gurristas missions lately pulling in about 250m/hr pretty casually. Shouldn't be much longer until I have my titan![]()
I look forward to seeing everyone in luminaire tomorrow and taking some pop shots at ya ~.^
Wont be home til 11pm missing the whole damn thing. Ill be sitting in my +5 clone training for the next couple of days because of work
THE TITAN IS DEAD!
I just saw a screenshot on Reddit. That was fucking beautiful.
While I'm here, is EVE a new-user friendly kind of game? I've done some light reading on it, and it seems somewhat intimidating. Been thinking about trying it out for a while, moreso now that Marvel Heroes has shit the bed.
Ya, its a lot more user friendly now then it used to be. Eve is a lot of reading a research, passive skill learning and trial/error. Part of the reason for its appeal to me, is my lack of time to play any MMO. With this, I don't grind, I just set skills. On my off game time, I read up on game mechanics and player group politics.
In game, I spend half of it trying to make isk and the other half grouping up for missions or pvp.
I'd say, the typical new player, training up for their first 10m SP in experience, will fumble around the massive complex world of eve, trying to find out what they like to do best. And thats the most important part, finding out what YOU want to do. Once you find that grove, your set.
For me, I spent years popping on and half, half interested in the game and training indy. It wasn't until last year that I really got into the game hardcore and found my grove in making ISK in market trading and my groove for pvp in BLOPs fleets.
My toon is sort of an anomaly. The years I spent between 2009-2012 just logging in and out of the game and not getting hooked gave me a 5mish SP indy foundation they I fall back on to help my mostly indy corp in null. But my focus since I really started "playing" last year has been pvp in BLOPs ships.
JOIN EVE UNI JOIN EVE UNI JOIN EVE UNI.
Seriously, the best thing a new player can do is join eve uni. They teach the game so it's easy to understand and have a high retention rate.
Oh and Tekki, it looks like our poach of Master Hyde was a success

Thanks for the advice. I'll check out EVE Uni when I get a chance.
