This show is amazing. I really hope it doesn't get canceled. ><

Next new episode is in two weeks according to tonight's preview... if they cancel it though, I'm going to be pissed beyond belief. I love this show.
I was able to catch a few episodes recently, I liked it. I really hope they finish at least the first season.
They won't cancel it. This one and Chuck are getting reviews and good ratings. We are fine with this one, Bionic Woman on the other hand idk!!Originally Posted by Epical
If anything, tonight's episode of Journeyman was better than tonight's Heroes (never really thought I would say that, fan of both shows though), it better be getting good reviews. >.>
Yeah. Too bad he got shot indeed /sarcasm.Originally Posted by Xavier
I really hated that rogue agent guy. He was such a douchebag. That'd be funny though if Dan had to go back in time to prevent the FBI guy from ever stumbling upon all this or something to save his life. Ah well, good thing he's gone. Maybe now the brothers will see eye to eye instead of "ZOMG You sir are crazy and you're going to a shrink and you're gambling yaddayadda."
Really loving this show though, hope to see moar.
Wouldn't it be stupid to cancel this show because of the writers strike? I saw Livia on some news show a few days ago and they said that production is continuing on the show because like the whole season has been written. The creator/writer "can't" be there to help make it because of the strike, but they're still going on. Why would they cancel new shows just to show reruns?
Seriously, I will fucking firebomb NBC if they cancel this show. Last night's episode was omfg amazing. More people would watch the show if it weren't on such a shitty timeslot. Give it an 8 o'clock or 9 o'clock slot and it will fucking kill. NBC YOU ARE FUCKING MORONS.
As far as I know it is getting pretty good reviews, but the ratings are borderline due to the time slot. A lot of folks have early work and such, and tune off after Heroes, even if it is a great lead in show. I would really prefer they put this on BEFORE Heroes, and the ratings would probably sky rocket :/ They are waiting on ratings for the next few episodes from what I read, but I think with the strike still on it'd be retarded to cancel it now if they have a full season's worth of episodes already written from what Eaglestrike said.
I think this is also one of those shows where the DVDs will do extremely well. One of the other issues I read is it has a alot of TiVO/DVR fans, as well as through the online viewings @ NBC.com which they heavily promoted, which I assume is basically screwing them out of $$$ from advertisers, since people are avoiding the commercials. Though I believe this trend shows shows that have bigger TiVO/DVD ratings are more likely to buy DVDs when they come out, so I guess we'll see.
That being said, i'm totally digging this show, it's great. It's mysterious, the overall story is awesome, yet new reveals com often, the characters are interesting, and there's always a new twist, and the interaction between Dan and the people he's tracking make for interesting stories. I think they listened to the fans regarding his wife being such a pain half the time, she's not nearly as bad lately. It'd really suck if they canceled it now :/
I agree man. I think with the changing technology that advertising companies need to do something else, and no, I don't mean saturate a show with product plugs and tie-ins. I remember reading a year or two ago that TiVO was thinking of making it so you can't fast foward thru the commercials, but then they'd probably piss off oh, say all of their customer base.Originally Posted by shukuffxi

They should just put it in Heroes timeslot after next week since it will be done until season 3 anyway.
Nielson ratings are completely worthless in actually representing how popular a show is these days, networks need to stop relying on them and find more ways to profit from other mediums.
I just can't believe the networks aren't making money off the unskipable ad that runs every 10-15 minutes when you watch the show online. The irony is that I actually watch those ads because I'm sitting at the computer, whereas a normal commercial I 99% of the time ignore and go get food/etc.
It really is a bad time slot for a show that hasn't established an audience for very long. If worse shows can be profitable in earlier times this one can do much better.
Bleh, I think this show is awesome.
Anyone remember Firefly? 9pm friday, had 16 episode to build a fanbase and was canceled. TV seriously need to give show a better chance...at least one complete season.
Seriously this feels like a firefly situation all over again.![]()
Decent episode last night. I'm a little nervous that they didn't show a promo for next week's episode. It seems NBC is going out of their way to kill this show off with the serious lack of advertising. They continually pimp Chuck and Heroes and leave nothing for Journeyman.
A few campaigns have begun to save the show. Fans of Jericho got the show back on the air by sending the tv studios tons and tons of peanuts, so Journeyman fans settled on boxes of Rice-a-Roni.
Hopefully NBC will get it thru their thick skulls that 10pm on Monday night's is a stupid timeslot, as evidenced by Life's failure last week. A new episode of Life was aired last Monday instead of Journeyman and was up against a repeat of CSI: Miami and did just a horribly, nay, worse than Journeyman did in the same time slot.
In fact, CSI:Miami won the ratings for that evening even though it was a repeat.
Yeah, last nights episode was good. They seem to be bringing more people together now and really branch outside of just the main 4. I really hope this keeps going, even moreso now that it's the only TV show with any new shows I watch for a few more weeks.
Argh, completely forgot this was going to be on. Without Heroes, I didn't even change to that channel.
I guess I will watch ittomorrow after class on their website.
I'm now going to put all NBC shows to 'Download only' and not even watch them on TV anymore, just so their ratings are all a little lower. This sucks, Journeyman is good, imo this season of Journeyman > season 2 of Heroes.
