To me, as an Ultima outsider, Sarah, Garret, Fodder, Aa all hold some sort of position of power or respect internally in Ultima. I don't know who else got victimized. But disrupting the internal power chain in hopes of (for lack of a better word) fucking up Ultima implies to me the culprits knew what they were doing.
2) Pre-meditated transfers.
3) All done with a few days of each other.
Either way even if 1) is false and it was just "random" Ultima members, the pre-meditation makes me believe that the culprits knew what they were doing.
if it took u 9 pages to figure out this was pre-meditated you're pretty retarded
Where did he say he just figured out it was premeditated? He said that the premeditation... ah, nvm, just not worth my time. /toss
with all this talk of pre-meditation and insider jobs, its all sounding like someone who did this must of been very smart and knew what they were doing.
All signs point to Schlomo!
When i broke my Leg my doctor told me im gunna need Morphine for the pain, and i told him i was premedicated is that like the same thing?
Aa lost a mule account, not his main. Fodder is fine, not sure why he was listed. Garret and Sarah are in leadership positions, yes. Gordie and Freak are much lower on the totem pole so to speak as were the others affected. The common link has been mentioned numerous times throughout the thread. Anyone nailed had sent their info to someone through the Ultima forum's PM system.Originally Posted by razorcat

srsly...don't share account info with ANYONE unless you're prepared to never see your account again. end of story.
Intervention FFXI Style. Maybe its someone who loves you IRL.
I'll admit to it....
I was the second gunman on the grassy knoll. 8)
Lost that god damn BG wiki link to Rukenshin/Rykoshet...now I can't get back to it ><
it was like /Rukenshin/Rykoshet or something.

Taj admitting to knowledge of this "mule" is the ultimate slip up. He claims he is not in the loop for handing out pearls, yet is on very friendly terms with the new transfer/trial PLD to the point that he knows their mules names.Must be an increadibly amazing coincidence that he needed to have Taj buy him the bow because that is pretty much required gear for Divine MIght and I am sure it just couldn't wait. <sarcasm>
Giving a linkshell to a transfer PLD with no application to your linkshell is extremely fishy. Also giving a pearl to a mule of that character is far beyond fishy.
The hacker hacks again. Big suprise. Maybe our hero, the BatTaj, only did it to show SE how vulnerable their accounts are due to some new glitch he found?![]()
You find it plausible that Taj not only PWNed the members of an LS the he presumably had nothing to do with (other than the fact that Kalia used to be a member), but left a series of neon signs behind that pointed to him as the culprit?
I see means, but I don't see motive or opportunity (beyond a non-specific hand-waving "h4ckz0r" label). It sounds like an inside job by a disgruntled member, with a hint of ham-fisted deception.
If Taj is such a respectable and accomplished hacker, isn't it a little odd that it's so obviously him?Originally Posted by Croaker

But half of the thread doesn't add up anyway.
Edit: Liselle beat me to it.
All a bunch of coincidences, seems more like someone was trying to frame him than him just being sloppy personally.
If Taj did it, he'd brag about it rather than leaving thinly veiled hints.
I'll admit I'm an outsider to the situation, but I've read all the wiki/divisor drama over the past few weeks and I think it's fairly obvious Taj didn't do it. It really doesn't seem like his style. Taj was upfront with what he did the whole time, why would he randomly stage an attack against people who had done nothing wrong (or were simply guilty by association), and then point all fingers to himself to sabotage his own credibility? And if you think that's him framing himself in such an unbelievably stupid way in order to avoid blame, well just look at his past actions. I won't talk about my particular thoughts on what he did, but when he hacked DT's paypal and the wiki admins, it was to expose illicit things they had done. He might've gone a little far with it, but he didn't parade around on their toons, drop their stuff, switch servers, or did anything really against them personally. He exposed what they had left hidden, actions they had taken themselves. No one's presented any plausible reason for him to have anything against these people--not to mention if he had done it, he's not dumb enough to set himself up as the culprit.
If I ventured a guess, I would bet that it was someone who mistook Taj's actions as some form of 1337 FFXI wayward vigilantism and went after everyone because of their association with DT. Probably the reason they switched to Taj's server and interacted with his linkshell was just to flaunt what they had done instead of some big conspiracy. No one's disagreeing that Taj would have had the ability to orchestrate this, but no one's presented any reason why he would do it. Except for revenge, but why would he need that? DT all but quit the game, and everyone's applauded him for exposing Ganiman & Co. It doesn't seem plausible that he'd deliberately terrorize people who had done nothing wrong.
Btw, I wanted to express my sympathy towards those who were targeted. Even for whom it was more of an annoyance than anything, there seems to be no reason for it and it certainly is sad that this is what it has come down to. I hope you all are able to recover as much as you can and whoever did this is rightfully punished.
There's one piece of evidence you're forgetting.........
Taj isn't an idiot. It makes no sense for him to go through these lengths to obtain and coordinate all this..........and then leave a big fucking neon sign pointing to him.
Does it all seem a little odd...yup.
Howeverm, it seems just as odd that he would be that retarded to leave that many footprints.
He is a narcicist though.Originally Posted by Quixon
