People can think what they want about me but the fact is that within minutes of the paypal screenshots being posted I sent a PM to the shellholder expressing my intent to drop pearl.

TWICE before that, over the previous month, I had told the shellholder (then Fodder, the change to Sarahlynn was recent)) that I was "probably" going to drop my pearl because my goals in game weren't aligned with the goals of the shell anymore. WAY before any of this had happened.

The first thing that came to my mind when all of htis happened is how much gil I still have left to give out to the victims who lost stuff (which I expressed to everyone involved as well), even though I'm not even playing the game anymore and even though I don't even like some of them. If that sounds like the type of person who just raped the same people he's donating money which he planned to sell to, then I don't know what else to say.

Whether this is Taj trying to assassinate my character (not sure why since I had already quit), or someone else trying to assassinate Taj's character, I have no idea.

While I applaud your intent to help the Valefor victims of this attack, it doesn't absolve you in any way, as it has already been pointed out that hypothetically, were you the perpetrator, your primary purpose wouldn't be to hurt the Valefor people anyhow.

I'm still wondering how long fake Ryko/possessed Garret waited between his application to the shell (on their forums?), and his acceptance and approval for a trial pearl. How many vouches did he get (or however Radiance's trial system works)?

Explained on page 3 or 4, they were short mans at fafnir and he offered to help, mentioned he needed a LS fresh off a worldshift, so they trial pearled him.

Another notable thing is that while these accounts were sent to a different server, the Aegis and other rare/ex don't seem to have been dropped, and nothing but a few easily-replaceable gil items are missing. For someone who took the extreme measure of maliciously transferring the accounts to a different server, that seems very odd.

Almost like they didn't want to hurt the hacked people that badly.

While Garret's account was intact save for the gil, the same can't be said for everyone. At least one person lost everything on their account, including r/e gear and any gil. However, he had been inactive for a little while and had been pondering quitting. It seems the decision just got easier as he said he's not coming back. For the most part though, things seem to be repairable once the transfer issues get settled.

In the end I doubt we'll ever know what really happened here.

That's fine. Like I said people can think what they want. My character was already successfully assassinated, if people think it's me my character is still at negative 5, right where it was before this. So I personally have nothing to lose.

Either it was Taj or it wasn't Taj. Honestly I don't even care at this point, I'm just glad that most people were able to salvage their accounts. I hope Freak and Gordie are able to salvage theirs as well, because they were two of the most genuine and innocent people I knew in the game.

If the hacker wants to hack my forum account, post a message on here from my account saying "Hi guys I restored your passwords, feel free to log in now" to frame me even further, so be it. I will gladly accept being buried so my friends can have their accounts back.

Because that would help exonerate Taj? The real point of the hack seems not to be to fuck with ultima, they are just collateral, but rather to assassinate Taj's character.

by who his linkshell leaders? the same people who didn't kick him after the fact, considering he did drop his own pearl right? we know the person got the ultima people's account info's from their private forum database but that doesn't account for how they would get the leader/sacks of radiance's account info on another server cause u don't just pull pol id's outta your ass

While this is all senseless speculation (based on my understanding of the thread), what if someone hacked the forum admin and got some passwords, decided they would fuck around with some accounts, and do it all in a BG theme?

Just a Fyi Koul had a broken Radiance pearl as well guess hes another "mule" im sure my acc has a broken pearl as well i just cant recover mine.
