The point of my post was that a case could be made to counter Etickets assumption that it was not an insider job. My theory was that transferring of these select people in power would wreak havoc on the chain of command within Ultima. And only insiders would know the true chain of command of Ultima. However, due to the fact that Jasmin is EU, and that he imported the NA version when it was released he had no choice but to use a "fake" adress in order to get himself register'd. As a result he now cannot recover his account because the adress it was registerd to is forgotten.

Pretty late, but this is a pet peeve of mine.

Irony includes any situation where the outcome is unexpected, meaning what is ironic varies depending on the expectations of the person claiming irony. I agree. If it was Taj, he could have easily made it look like it couldn't have had anything to do with him at all. Hell, people get their accounts hacked all the time these days. Whoever did this could have made this look like a 'normal' 'hack'. However, it was obviously done to point some connection towards Taj. If Taj did this, and wanted to look innoncent, it would have been extremely easy to do this in a way such that his name isn't even mentioned as a viable suspect.

I used to have a lot of hatred for people who were ruining the FFXI economy with RMT.

However, over the years dozens of people that I considered friends have quit the game and every single one of them sold their gil to IGE when they left. Many of those people were very vocally against RMT when they still played.

How you are dying to say Taj has any motive to screw over ex-LSmates of Kalia/DT is just beyond me. I'm pretty sure he was perfectly happy e-mail/paypal hacking Kalia/DT. And I highly doubt he "hates" him...they got in a forum argument and Taj really had more of a "Oh look, trump card! I win!" moment.

I also highly doubt Kalia/DT would try to get revenge on Taj by hacking his own former LSmates. It just doesn't make any sense at all, especially since those same people were in DX and had to have helped him with Mandu attestation fights. Not to mention, he dropped his own pearl so he didn't drag them down into any more drama. It just doesn't add up.

Stop pointing the damn fingers, no one really has any clue of who the hacker is and none of the Taj/Kalia theories make a damned bit of sense.
