I'd say chances are pretty good.Originally Posted by yuriku

If he had instead said that he meant it was irony because the result (Taj getting all cozy with Divisor the Hacker) was an unexpected one, I would have just called him an idiot. The expected result of a concerted effort on the part of Divisor to implicate Taj would be to make a link between the two of them. Is it NOT UNEXPECTED that Taj would innocently cooperate, since he would be completely ignorant of Divisor's identity AND his intentions.
Summary: both of you are wrong, this subthread derail is very stupid, and I regret having any part of it in the first place.
Jeez, nobody has suggested iifuzz as the culprit yet?
Irony is a difficult thing to define accurately. Even the old greek tragedy playwrights, who wrote tragic tales of a man's most prized possession becoming their downfall, or prophecies that were only fulfilled because they tried to stop it, were unable to accurately use irony.
About the only person to accurately define irony is Webster.
I'm not implicating anyone or anything because truly I don't care or play anymore but I like puzzles and this mystery is interesting.
If I were looking at this as an outsider, which most of us are, the only person who looks suspicious to me is Kalia/DT and i'll tell you why.
Kalia is the only person with a revenge motive. he was completely destroyed in the wake of the last issue with the wiki and seems to have planned this all out perfectly in order to cover his tracks. Again i'm not directly implicating him but simply from this thread.
1. kalia is destroyed and volunteer's to leave the linkshell planting the seed of his good grace.
2. kalia under the pretense of having quit and no relation to the game anymore does whatever was done to these accounts in a way to implicate the very person that destroyed his credibility and lead to his quitting the game.
3. Kalia has been very outspoken about how he is volunteering to give his own gil back to the people who lost it, how convenient you can give them back exactly what you took with the pretext of you being the good guy, safe face and still sell just as much gil as you were planning. Everyone has their account except for a couple unfortunately, you have sold your gil as planned, implicated the person who destroyed you and come out as the savior by donating your own characters gil back to the victims. (This part just seems to perfect doesn't it?)
In all you are the only person that sounds at all suspicious to me. You had the means, being in the linkshell and knowing exactly who to hurt in order to rectify yourself and implicate taj. You had the motive, revenge for what he did to you only weeks ago. And you have the reward, you get to pretend you're the savior in giving gil back to the victims and try to go out with a bang and not a broken legacy. All the while all fingers point to taj who as far as i'm concerned is not stupid enough to leave this many arrow's pointing to him, I won't say if he's capable of doing it on a moral level he just doesn't strike me as this careless. you do.
Again, i don't know anyone involved and for all intents and purposes don't care who did it. I feel for the people it happened to but you gave out your account info at one point or another so the arguement can be made that while not deserving it is your fault. My unbiased observation though is that kalia is the only suspicious party given the information of this thread. His angle just seems a little, to perfect if you ask me.
so Gman, which irc user are you?
Aside from the cleverly placed picture of Garret, I don't see *any* proof whatsoever that Garret was the one responsible for the transaction.

so there are 3 theories that are plausible, to me at least, given the means and motives.
1. divisor getting revenge because his personal e-mail/paypal was violated and was outed for buying gil. he had the means through phpbb hacking (since i guess he didn't have admin access?). what makes this theory shaky is he would be screwing former ls mates, who evidently had no beef with him, at an attempt to frame taj. also, the obtaining of radiance pearls with names like rykoshet and taja so easily are fishy. why weren't these oddities reported on BG right away like they usually are? you'd think taj or someone in radiance who posted on BG would've posted screenshots or convos of these suspicious characters (unless this was done privately or something). and how did one of the accounts convince someone to give him an osode?
2. certain radiance members just trying to obtain free accounts. they have the means through taj, because well he can. the passwords were changed, an osode was put on one of them as if the account was going to be actively used, and the whole pearl thing again. maybe my logic just sucks, but i'm learning towards this theory since it's the simplest. maybe taj himself didn't orchestrate the whole account jacking, but there's a good chance he obtained the account infos for the culprits in this theory.
3. someone totally unrelated to either divisor or taj, but lurks or posts on BG, hacking ultima accounts and for some reason trying to join radiance while at the same time using known BG names and references.
i really don't believe these accounts were meant to be recovered by the original owners whatever the motive and whoever the culprit was. it just so happens that fortunately, some of these people kept their original reg keys, and i really hope whoever did this somehow gives the others' who aren't so fortunate their passwords back...![]()

I've never seen such unintelligent arguments in attempt to prove someone is involved in an event. I seriously have absolutely no reason whatsoever to defend/support/attack Taj or anyone else here in the least, but reading through this entire thread and knowing a good deal about all parties involved in this... I can't believe how badly some people's logic is failing them.
- First retarded statement: 'But Taj is known to be a great hacker, who else could it be!?'
I suppose that means that every single person ever hacked in FF had to have been hacked by Taj, right? Because no one else is capable of doing anything like that? Wait, Mr. Reality is here and he says that just because Taj is one of the few who demonstrates his knowledge of computer science/programming/etc publically more than anyone else on this forum, doesn't mean that there's no one else at or close to his level of knowledge if not higher.
People get hacked all the time in this game. Associating one person to a particular hacking spree just because he publically demonstrates his knowledge of the subject is just stupid. Oh hey hey, I bet Saddam Hussein was guilty for the murder of John Smith in Arizona 8 years ago. Saddam is known for killing thousands of innocent people! It had to have been him!
- Second/Third/Fourth retarded statements: 'The character was named Taja! It must be Taj!'
One was named Ryko, and another had an address for Ksandra... I guess they were in it too? Is it not obvious enough whoever did this is trying to point fingers all over the place so retarded people can waste more time pointing fingers at those people in this thread as opposed to figuring out who did it? And it's sad how many people went and fell into that trap. There's no reasonable evidence pointing to either of those three people and wasting time arguing about it with only that evidence as proof is just an idiotic waste of energy.
- Fifth retarded statement: 'How could you give an Aegis PLD and their mule a pearl so fast?!'
I just find this especially horrible evidence of anything. Since these server switches started I've seen people switch servers and get pearled almost right away by many linkshells; nevermind a relic user switching servers. Names I've never seen before and people I know of on other servers switch here and have pearls to competing linkshells faster than people seem to accept. IIRC even Rambus managed to get a pearl to an LS shortly after switching servers.
Not to mention, I'm not sure if it's true on other servers but more than ever there are always people shouting in Whitegate/making search comments about recruiting for their linkshell... With the large number of events happening on a day-to-day basis in many linkshells now, the need for a larger player base in an LS always exists. So since when is it unheard of for an LS to recruit people as they appear? Especially in the case of a relic PLD with 'a mule'? I'd sooner see people go "wtf who wouldn't snatch up an Aegis PLD that appears to be a good person" than "wtf who would pearl an Aegis PLD that appears to be a good person right away" if this thread didn't exist.
- Sixth Retarded statement: 'He bought a bow for the hacker!! Why would he do that when he's a complete stranger?'
I better be careful who I buy stuff for then. I've bought gear/food/etc for people all the time when they forgot to run to the AH (even people I don't know), and never imagined it apparently means I could be hacking. Last I checked though picking up an item that will improve the performance of a key job in a BC/expPT/whatever is perfectly normal if not expected, whether you've known the guy for your entire life or just met them 2 minutes ago.
I sure as hell would out 1m on a Bow and some Tacos for a stranger in hope they can do their job better (and just out of kindness cause come on, really, saying 'go get it yourself' to someone you're going to be working together with is BS), is much worth the possible but extremely unlikely outcome of you having to reslist it on AH and lose maybe 20k if they don't have the money.
- Last but not least... The retarded loopwhole many seem to forget:
No one can just pick a name out of a hat and hack their POL account info. What would stop them from just hacking away every account in FF if that was so? In order for anyone to be accused of this you have to keep in mind there has to be some possible way for victim(s) to have made themself vulnerable in some way to the hacker. And honestly, I don't see one possible instance in this whole thread where any particular person (especially Taj, being on a different server and not knowing the victims at all) could've somehow obtained the account info for all those people. Much less just one a few of them. If anything figuring out how one person could've obtained all of their info should be a priority in this thread, not pointing fingers with evidence that wouldn't hold up anywhere but a court ran by elementry school kids.
Now I'm not going to sit here and try to say there's no way Taj or anyone else here is guilty either, because it's far from being impossible. But if you're going to try to prove Taj or anyone here guilty the least you could do is come up with some better reasoning.
I actually agree with what Aurik said as well. More than anything it appears that someone is out to attempt to damage Taj's reputation.

no rukenshin, the story is apparently one or more people going for lulz using information dug up by taj. are you interested in being an objective reporter btw? let me know.
Wow, that was... almost clever... Are you done trolling the thread yet?
You think I don't know what the current story is? I've read every post of this thread and I know very well what's going on (as I said multiple times in my post, but reading isn't your strong point?), but that doesn't change the fact that people are still bringing up those retarded points over just the last three pages (or, 6 hours).
Something about what's bolded there should hint to you that my post was not unmotivated or without cause. Regardless of what some people are theorizing now. It's common sense.

However, as if that isn't suspicious in itself... What's most interesting is in reading his post history, he claims to be a character named Insider on Leviathan. Which doesn't exist according to FFXIAH.![]()
He doesn't mean that's his character name, he means that's what he is.
Err.. hate to ask the obvious, but is it possible "Insider" means "member of Radiance"? lol.Originally Posted by RKenshin
