Then why is he posting at all if he's scared of being hacked? He's just exposing himself to be posting at all.

So what you're implying is that even if someone knows who did it or found some worthwhile evidence, they should think twice before posting it? In fear of being hacked? I guess we'll never get anywhere in this thread then.

I'm pretty certain that's not even possible though (or at least not by anyone that would be playing this game). Like I said hacking someone is more complicated than picking a name out of a hat and hacking that person on que, you need to be able to have some opportunity to obtain their info... Which for most of the people here, isn't possible by the means a hacker would take. As in they're not downloading suspcious programs, sharing passwords in any form, etc. And you can't just go and hack passwords through SE.

It's not as complicated as you think, there are more ways than hitting PoL directly to get info from a player. And you're right this topic is going nowhere since regardless of who it is, no one who would know the answer is going to be brave enough to risk their characters and the last 4 years of their real lives (granted it's a game but you are full of shit if you were going to throw it away just to out someone when you very well could be next) just to spill the beans.

He said it but I was under the impression that was referring to people interogating him about his IP/etc, and not who he was.

You really think it's worth the risk/easy enough for a hacker to go and just get any password/account info he chooses by hacking SE? If that were really viable by someone here you honestly think that someone would risk some serious jail time just to pull a prank?

so can we be done with the fucking around? taj got info he sholdn't have, let others know what it was, and this happened, apparently. this also means if it indeed wasn't taj, he shouldn't have a hard time pinning a relatively small group of who it could be (i'm guessing an irc chan regular, as taj was probably letting people know as he was digging up dvs's shit). doesn't clear taj entirely if its true, but tough shit I guess. he needs to pin who it is and work on getting ppl their accts back.

He posted a screenshot and made a suggestion as to how this could be resolved with the people you're concerned are being framed finally getting cleared, it was about as harassing as saying losing weight is good for you. The only thing you're enforcing is a hissy fit, it's obvious there is a large group of people who know what's going on, you do nothing by squelching anyone if they didn't break a rule and last I checked he didn't post anyone's picture, address, account info, or phone number.

i don't understand why someone who is obviously involved or has info is being muted when random people from other servers (myself included) are allowed to make speculations and comments. i guess aurik has already decided that taj is completely innocent and is just shutting up anyone who is even implicating taj's involvement :\
