The naming structure for the abbreviations seem wrong. They generally have a 1st rule of avoiding vowels, or if that doesnt look nice or is taken already, then the first 3 letters of the job's name. They also don't put 2 same letters in a row.

DNC does seem more likely than DAN. Both are possible, but DNC would be more likely because DAN sounds like someones name. Then again Samurai is SAM...

EMU just sounds lame if its Emulator.

TMM. If this were so, Summoner should be SMM. TIM or TMG are more likely for Time Mage

MDC. Medic? MED sounds cooler tho.

Samurai is SAM and not SMR because SMR would confuse stupid people, and they make up the majority.

As far as EMU goes, who the fuck knows. Seriously, speculating on a job's capabilities when you don't even know the name of the job is super silly.

he's saying it doesn't fit with the other mages' abbreviations. BLM WHM and RDM all are two words, the last m being mage. summoner is just summoner, so i guess it makes more sense to have one letter for each syllable in the abbreviation

If those four jobs are right then i would agree with you but assuming they arent which they probably arent, I just wouldnt completely rule out that they go to tactics for dancer especially if there is no time mage to be the clear support role.
