The whole thing is, if the president bombs Iran (or if Israel bombs Iran) Iran will retaliate on the troops in Iraq, as it has threatened to do so. The situation will dissolve quickly enough where a draft will be necessary. Or we withdraw all our troops from the middle east, damning israel to using nukes or dying.

Iran is a large country, it has an economy, it has it's own stock market. Ahmadinejad's purpose is to act strong, to give an impression that Iran is so strong that US wouldn't dare attack it. This is so the rich people in Iran continue to invest in the country, and not run away, taking their money with them. Explains Ahmadinejad cocky attitude, which US is adeptly exploiting.

1. The white house press briefed the entire world regarding that, not just me.
2. True, most of the bashing came from talking head experts, and entire fox news but it still constitutes a propaganda campaign because the entire mainstream media participated, if not directly then indirectly.
3. Man, that resolution can be interpreted in two ways.
1. Gives authority to invade Iraq
2. Gives president authority to defend America using military from iraq AND enforce all relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions regarding Iraq.

Exact wording:
"defend the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq; and enforce all relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions regarding Iraq."

Read as much of the post as my brain could handle, and not so much because of intelligible dialogue (although there were some interesting points made on either side). Forum debates like these never get anywhere, and random idiots (read: Egon) enter the post and just ruin a potentially good topic. It also doesn't help if (at least in the first two pages, it was mainly Guartz v. Charla) people just shoot out "ok, then you're an idiot." or my favorite "go claim your darters" because whether or not a valid point is offered, the debate becomes nothing more than ad hominem posts. I wish we could find an unbiased moderator, skilled in debates, to at least look over these posts -- not to determine one side being right or wrong, but to allow for at least refreshing debate instead of just blurting out the first thing that comes to mind and adding on "you stupid ass" at the end of every comment. One thing anybody should know about Israel is to not fuck with it. For its size it is one of the most powerful military nation(propartionally).

Also to Egon, America is not the worlds police force, the UN is. Honestly Saddam was terrible dictator, but by far not the worst. Look up North Korea sometime and learn of the millions of people who starve while Kim JOng Il lives the life of luxury- and he actually HAS the bomb. Not to mention in recent years they have developed long range missiles that could reach the Japan or US coast. If there is any dictator that should have been overthrown it should have been him.
