DVD burning

I've downloaded some movies that I want to burn to my blank DVD's. Every time I use Nero however, it ALWAYS tells me that the CD can not hold the video because there is not enough space...regardless of how big the file is. It could be 1 meg, it could be 4 gigs. I'm looking for another conversion/burning program to put movies on to a DVD. Can anyone direct me in the proper direction!?

nero is #1, you are probably trying to burn DVDs to CD in nero, in which it will tell you that, make sure you are choosing DVD Video in nero

I tried that. I'm picking "Burn DVD" and it show's the empty bar at the bottom with the red line at 4.7 gigs.

I got convertxtodvd and it worked perfectly!

DVD movies are on DVD8 disks, the ones you burn with are DVD4, they are smaller, you need to be using some kind of software to convert the larger movie size to the smaller disk, Nero has a program that specifically does this I believe but its not the normal burning software its one of the other 15 programs it comes with.

If it's a movie file, this is also what I use, and I LOVE it. If it's an image, I just burn with Nero. Flawless victory!

If you use Nero, download DVDShrink and let DVDShrink take care of it. Best burning app for dvds. Plus it ignores all copyright and zone information allowing you to burn whatever you want.

DVDShrink is a "dvd back up" program, but if you have nero already installed, it works seemlessly with Nero and actually uses nero to burn from within DVDShrink. DVDShrink is freeware also.
