Bullshit. 10 dollars is what you earn in less than an hour of honest work in this day an age. If the difference between you buying a game and stealing a game is less than an hour or two of work then you either suck at math or you're lying through your fucking teeth.

Don't even pretend that 'it cost too much' is a justification for theft. Just pirate, admit you're a pirate and move on. Nothing worse than a thief pretending to have some values.

Would you buy a CD if it was $26 or spend $40-45 on a Blu-ray movie?

The lower the price, the greater you're going to let $10 influence your decision. If we were talking about the actual systems, I'm sure someone wouldn't care paying $120 or $130 for a DS.

"I'd pay for this shit, but it's 10 dollars too expensive."
People steal when there's a) opportunity and b) a low risk of getting caught. It's an unfortunate truth of the human psyche. That's all there is to it. It has nothing to do with 10 bucks, because you're not saving just 10 bucks, you're saving yourself 40 bucks when you steal.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Ok shut the fuck up about piracy. If you don't want to do it then don't do it. Debate over.

    Now

I just picked up my copy of PH and I'd like to find my game code so we can do some multiplayer battles. I was able to find the 16 digit code for the DS itself, but not the game specific one. Since the only options in the main menu seem to be start a new game and nothing else.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Sorry, this is my first time trying to play a DS game online.

I can't test because I'm at work with no Wi-Fi, but you should be able to view your friend code by clicking on Friend Roster on the main Battle screen.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Yeah, think that is where i saw mine. Choose your save, then choose Battle, then i believe under Friend Roster you will see an option for "My Game Code" or something like that. You won't have one, but it should prompt you to connect so one is created.

I may be slightly off, but that is what I had to do. Can't check atm since whipping it out at work is never a great idea... and i JUST did this a few hours ago but still can't recall the exact path =)

For your information I actually went and bought Phantom Hourglass. But thank you for continuing to try and derail the thread.

Didn't stop you from pirating a bunch of games a while ago. Why pay $30 to people who spend money developing games for you when you can pay $10 to someone who works to take money out of the first group's pockets, amirite?

They aren't really anything like previous Zelda games, at least in my opinion. The touch controls take some getting used to, but once you get rolling it's easy to move around and interact.

If this was a Shrek DS thread, nobody would give 2 shits about piracy.

Speaking of getting shit for free, I just traded in my broken DS in the old box from over a year ago and got a new one for free!

Doesn't massively derailing the thread go under the BRP rule or something?

Anyways, just bought this today, pretty awesome so far. I'm a lefty, and the touch controls do allow an option for it which works well.

Not too difficult at all in any sense really, at least so far, but I was only able to get to the first Boss on my lunch today (as well as playing on the sly at my desk after picking it up this morning lol)

But yeah, like stated, the amount of hints and tips scattered all over the place leave very little to the imagination. While you might think you can just NOT read the signs in the game, some of them you HAVE to read, as there is perhaps a puzzle ON the sign.

The only gripe (and it will pass) that i have is that i tend to create blind spots on the screen since i am mashing the stylus all over it... if that makes sense. I am sure i will get used to that in time though.
