Nope, I'm actually interested in Zelda (picking it up tonight), shame so many people see fit to pirate it rather than pay Nintendo for investing so much money making it.

    You, however, are backseat modding.

So yeah this game is awesome, really innovative and the controls go together very smooth. It does take some getting used to and whoever said it's nothing like previous zelda games it's right. There's really no comparing, and as long as you have half a brain you can figure out the puzzles lol, that's how it's pretty much always been, but that's not to say you don't feel like cool and smart when you figure them out 8)

I think the controls work really well thus far. It does take some getting used to for sure. But after leaving the introduction island they already feel second nature and it is truly amazing how well they work.

Anyway, this game looks great. How is it compared to the other handheld Zelda games?

Doesn't that mean you technically are too

Compared to other Zelda handheld games, it's good. Link's Awakening is better, and so is the GBA remake of LttP, if you actually count that. A lot better than Oracle of Seasons/Ages, though.

What's wrong with Oracle of Seasons / Ages? o_O
I still have the limited edition collector's edition with both Oracle games in a huge fucking box, t-shirt, a boomerang and a poster. I loved both of them. ^^

    Oracle games were fun, though I loved Links Awakening.. I played through that game so many times I have urges to play again ;-;

Phantom is pretty good so far, only had time to beat the 'first dungeon' and play on the ship a bit. Id rather use + pad and buttons to play games, but using the touch screen isnt all that bad.

Don't forget about The Minish Cap either. That was a really fun game.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

    That is gay

For those who are through the second dungeon (Ocean King Temple):

I am stuck at the end of B2, you have to step on the switch to lower the spikes, but they go back up if you move off. What I read is you throw the boomerang to get the key past the spikes, but I do not see it there.

    Any help prz?

You missed a switch in the earlier part of the floor that very visibly makes the key drop.

Youll love it til you get to the 3rd or 4th run through the master dungeon when the mobs upgrade and are faster n shit as well as running and picking up stuff that you leave on the ground that the other guys never picked up.

If you backtrack theres a switch that makes a key drop in that area so when you hit the switch you use the boomerang to get the key.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Bumping this back. I am really liking this game. I am currently through the first 2 dungeons and first 2 Ocean King Temple parts and it is very fun. It really has the feel of A Link to the Past when going through towns and dungeons. The only part I don't like is the Ocean King Temple parts. It seems unnecessary you have to completely backtrack through the floors you already did to get to the next 3 floors especially when it was only a 2 minute increase to my hourglass. And overall those parts are just more annoying than fun.

That aside everything else is a blast and the controls feel great.

Quick fyi. Sign up for mynintendo.com and complete a quick survey about Phantom Hourglass and you will receive a free feather stylus.

I assume it will be in the design of the item you drag when setting your course in the ship in the game. So it should be cool.
