Yeah, I do suck at it. I know the score goes up when you hit consecutively, I'm just not used to the controls yet I guess.Originally Posted by Zetah

QFT, I got stuck for the longest time on the Ghost Ship dungeon where you have to pull the 5 levers in the stupid bullshit order.Originally Posted by Maguspk

Overall though, really fun game.
Only played a little bit still because I have had a busy weekend. Being the first time I playd the DS... are all games like this w/the touch sensativity and taking such advantage of the dual screens? Its pretty damn fun just to mess around w/the weapons. Been having a blast
most games dont use it to this extent, but i gotta agree, this game is hella fun. just beat it an hour ago, gonna work on getting all the gems then later maybe.
gonna be looking forward to FFXII then.. its supposed to also be like this game w/only using the stylus for everything :D
ff12rw is not like this. ff12rw is basically playing rts on the ds.
more like heroes of mana
ya but isn't it played using only the stylus (like Zelda: PH)? sorry if I was unclear. I didn't mean FFX12 seemed to play the same as Zelda, just that it seems to be designed to work on the same mechanics
edit: spelling
yea it uses mostly stylus controls.
They need to remake "Ocarina of Time" for the DS, idk if it's a direct port but it needs to be done.
frickin archery minigame is pissing me off, cant break 2000 points![]()
Not all games do, and not all of them that do are any fun. Some other games to check out definitely would beOriginally Posted by Katlan
Yoshi's island
Final fantasy 3
Picross (if you like puzzle games at all it's super fun, and a value at 20 bucks)
Elite beat agents (Or Ouendan, they are rythym type games. Ouendan is the japanese version which IMO has better songs)
Mario kart
New super mario bros was pretty fun, nice time waster.
And of course, pokemon![]()
How can you not mention Brain Age and Brain Age 2?
Brain Age two is amazingly fun and uses every function of the DS perfectly. In fact, I'm sure Brain Age set the precendent for alot of the stylus/touch screen implementation in various DS games. As for LoZ: PH, it's hard to not associate the drawing of the slate symbol and the "shouting into the mic" or "blowing out candles" with a off-shoot brain age game
Actually those cheesey elements existed before Brain Age, and showed up as minigames in some of the mario remakes. I remember a game where you blew Yoshi's balloon up or something by blowing into the micOriginally Posted by Maguspk
so ive got at least half the ship parts now, beaten all the minigames minus the maze, think im missing 3 heart containers, got all the power gems, need wisdom/courage and damn this game is still fun :D
and my wifi is still 0-2 because of random people always disconnecting when im going to win :/
Why do people complain about the length of a handhbeld game? Like seriously, most of those games are made simply so you can pass time with a random mindfuck game that wastes a few hours at best while you have fun playing it while on the road etc. I'm actually glad it wasn't longer, because it doesn't need to be as big as a console Zelda or else I would personally lose interest in both (because playing a zelda game on a handheld for 20+ hours is boring, but the same thing goes to a console game being that long if it means that their GBA/DS/whatever counterparts are just as long and tedious...)
The handheld zeldas being short is actually a plus in my book because I can just have fun playing a zelda game with all of its "zelda-ish" elements, without actually having to waste a bunch of time collecting heart pieces and bugs(wtf twilight princess?)
I collected all those motherfucking bugs and poes ~_~
Same lol, but that's good for a console... I wouldn't want to do the same thing on a handheld game.Originally Posted by ertyu

Might've been, I haven't played all the handheld zeldas... but I meant that in general handheld games aren't meant to be as long as console ones.
