wow...way to paint yourself into the ignorant corner. i've been training in mixed martial arts for 15 years now and been fighting for 3 years. that graphic was from the "early days" back when the sport didn't have rules. now there are just as many rules and regulations as any other sport to keep things like this from happening. there's been one serious injury/death in mixed martial arts in over 10 years of competition...there's 10-15 every year in boxing. as far as your "get a real job" thing goes...i have that as well. i was an army infantry ranger for 7 years and served my country well, got out of that and am pursuing my MMA career now.

MMA has been around for a while. Thats from the early ones, before they had any rules. You can tell cuz the guys is wearing a judo(?). Most people up untill 2 years ago would take up MMA as a hobby with a real job first. Not untill the big boom did people really take that as a job.
