I think if you are in a party, the person with the highest hate will apply to everyone. May be possible for one person out of pt to pop it, than let it go yellow and the hate bonuses might go away I guess.

Or maybe you can't have Apkallu hate? Could explain why the PLD only got it to pop when you guys left. Maybe you both had Apkallu hate and he didn't, so it spawned after you guys got off the boat?

Almighty Apkallu dropping the cape makes the most sense to me too, seeing as they were added in the same update, and a regular NM dropping the same item as an assault's unique ??? item departs from the pattern of every other assault appraisal reward.

The same could be said for Evoker's Boots, and that's a ??? item appraisal.

Are Evoker's Boots the "good appraisal" from that assault's ??? item? Or is it one of the "crap appraisal" alternatives to the good one being some feet that probably give terrible regular stats and mediocre assault/besieged stats?

It's the 'almost good' appraisal. There is a ToAU unique item as well (Antarctic Solea).

i thought Ancient Bombs would drop flame bracers too, but i think they were added in a different update. I'm not sure about Skanda boots, i guess it would all depend on what almighty apkallu drops

Sanguine Sword was said by a bunch of people to drop from the assault: Blitzkrieg... thats not to say Apkallu doesn't drop it, but i've never seen any concrete evidence of people actually popping Almighty Apkallu, so idk.

I have never seen proof that Almighty Apkallu drops anything, or pops only when the AC is gone, the only reason we know it exists is that it's found in the .DATs for "Silver Sea Route to Al Zahbi"

I guess that explains why no one has ever seen it from Whitegate -> Nashmau with the AC gone. That zone's for Nashmau -> Whitegate, and I don't think anybody ever takes that. lol

in all honesty, it now makes sense that an Apkallu would drop the birdman's cape... Apkallu have that aoe paralyze, so the resist paralyze from the cape would make sense sorta.

Well, a lot of people took the nashmau to whitegate boat looking for this nm specifically, obviously with no luck with or without AC.

I've heard so many stories about this thing popping, but I've never actually seen it myself. On Fairy, Starlink got a Sanguine Sword and told everyone that it dropped from Almighty Apkallu when the AC was gone. I believe that was the first, original, report.

Starpacco was joking lol. AFAIK he got his sword from Blitzkrieg just like everyone else.

Realistically I would probably drop 100k - 200K on it without thinking. It's pretty, it's rare, but it's not kickass awesome. Just curious, what were you asking for?

Been a long time, but I remember hearing about Almight Apkallu on my server. Doubt I remember correctly, but I don't think he spawns when the AC is lost, but more "during" a Besieged event. 100% positive its on the ferry from Nash > Whitgate (that I remember clearly).
It's not Apkallu hate related. Think its more like the Selbina ferry and the pirates. It only spawns once every 21-24 period(???) or during some time frame. and it can be on "either" of the ferries that leaves Nash. So just because u don't see it doesn't mean it didn't spawn, could just have spawned on the other ferry that circulates between Nash > Whitegate.

Wow, I've actually never heard of doing this lol. I'm sure it's done but the pure logistics of getting a buyer, settling price, trading the gil and lotting the item seems a bit much to do in 5 minutes, but I can see how it could be done I guess.
