Hmmm,

I was just running through the Mire, and was looking for the ??? for the Lamian Fang Key. I accidentally popped the Lamian Deathdancer for a quest and had to zone it. I went back to towards the key area, (Lamia still up) but instead, when I was tabbing, I came across a "Peculiar Plant" target-able on the ground. When I clicked it, it gave me the message:

"There is an oddly shaped plant here. Its leaves start quivering violently when you touch it! You hear a pleasant sound that rings out like a musical instrument."

Nothing else. I got the key ran back and zoned. I decided to go re-investigate, even popping the NM for the quest again, but the "Peculiar Plant" was gone.

Anyone know what this about?

Maybe some ghosts pop over by the graveyard at night, or where the trees are on that side? I haven't been over there much.

I've been out in that area quite a bit, nothing springs to mind. I've soloed the imps and birds all the way to the end of the graveyard, except for one that's close to a zoneline at E9/10 and surrounded by chigoes. Also xp'd on the trees a bit with parties. Only things that go untouched around there are the qiqirns and guard skeletons, particularly the latter.

I notice there's a ??? at E10 on the map close to the Jazaraat headstone - anyone know what that is? Probably nothing I guess.

I believe he was refering to the "Peculiar Plant". Which I have never seen personally and don't see anything listed on wiki about it.

My friend and I spent sooo many weeks looking for this cape when it was supposedly first introduced (in the .dats). We farmed Boots, Fomors, Imps, Birds, Qutrubs, ect believing it was a random pop off them. Really tried everything in C. Mire (that wasnt xp'd on regularly because then it would of been found out). Never found it, then i just began looking around at random threads about the cape... still nothing
So i kinda quit FF down the road, then decide to log in again like 6 months later (lol) to see if ppl I knew were still around and chat randomly w/ old friends... and one of the things i looked for on the AH was "birdman cape," because surely it would of been listed for novelty by now! And still nothing. heh...

Yeah sorry, I was mostly talking about the plant... it was up for 30 seconds then disappeared. (i put the Lamia thing in there, just incase there was connection between the pop for the quest and the plant appearance, and also to let everyone know the approximate position of where I saw the "Peculiar Plant" pop)
