I'm with this guy. I really haven't seen any THF issues that I disagree with since the patch. I'm still beating some pimped 2-handers and I don't even have a Mandau. I think most of the crap folks talk about THF performance now is just perception-oriented because the patch buffed 2H but not 1H.

If good thieves can keep up with good Ridill warriors and still merrily participate in ~25k exp parties before the patch, why should they really have anything to complain about? It all seems pretty balanced to me.

Most THF on Garuda do suck. I can name maybe like ... 7-8 (including myself) who actually have a clue. The rest mainhands NQ Behemoth knife (Sirocco offhand), uses AFv2 pants and gloats in Whitegate shout how they used to be able to outparse Ridill WARs before "the nerf".

I'd say THF is fine for merits. At Colibri camp most people can't get close to my damage on THF(/NIN), at Mamool I can keep up easily with most people. If anything, THF could use a boost for the tougher mobs but even then it's not really needed.

Make aura steal like a 30 second cooldown (separate it from steal), and make it steal TP if the target has no buffs.

There has been what, 2-3 BLU's post now? And didn't I earlier admit to the fact after hearing a few of them BLU might need some changes? I even admited to that, I have no problem admiting i'm wrong at times. I do know however I have some close friends who are maxed out the ass on their BLU who parse pretty damn well. Better than some jobs, and parse pretty equally to WAR. But we had double refresh most of the time so MP was never much of a issue. All I have pushed is that some jobs have more of a right to want a change and fix than BLU does. Some that really need it. Like... PUP...

BG isn't the God and end all discussion of FFXI, and posting here doesn't make you God. Alot of extremely intelligent people from the game don't post here because they don't like ignorant arguments and needless flaming like what you are doing. And not everyone who post's here knows what they are talking about. It's a public forum.

What do you think about BLU? Think a THF can really out-do them on Colibri? Most THF's anymore suck, its hard to find a good one. But the good one's sure can do some amazing damage in exp. I think THF hurts the most on things like Kings/Gods/Jailers, big heavy bosses, where all they become is a TH whore. But they still remain really good (for more than just TH) on random stuff like Limbus, Dynamis, Assault, Salvage, etc...
