Ok, called again (4th time) and still they said without the current CC and address, they can't reset, because it's a "company wide policy". I even confirmed my old CC with them (which they had a record of), and they still refused to reset because they want the 'current' info.
Basically all these calls, I got this:
William Bisby
US Playonline Information center
999 North Sepulveda Blv
3rd floor
El Segundo, CA 90245
They told me to snail mail the POL info center manager, and said there's nothing else I can do.
Hmm, it seems like a sunny day outside.
Funny thing is when I had my PW reset some time ago I gave them the current info and they wanted the CC before it, and I hadn't used that for like 4 months.

Keep calling. You'll keep getting people who say "well our company policy states that..." until one says "oh, I'm sorry that happened, let me reset your password". At which point...change the password they give you..... .../facepalm
this same thing happend to me 3weeks ago and i still dont have my char back..![]()
Ya, I'm gonna keep calling. But it seems like I keep getting one of 2 people, "Joel" or "Lee". The former is freaking rude and hangs up on you, and the latter is just useless. I wonder how many people actually work at the call center.Originally Posted by archibaldcrane

Now, to find a stamp....
Not sure if you've tried their Web Chat yet or not, but that is worth a shot as well. ^^
It DOES take a fairly long time to actually get a representative, but that may be a way to talk to someone other than the same two people. ^^;;
By this they mean make sure you have a good 4 hours set aside to get a rep to speak to you. At least that's what happened to me one Monday night.Originally Posted by Kitsuu
:3 lol. Yeah. I've had it take that long as well. But I've also had it be really quick. Just depends really. ^^;; On how lazy they're feeling.. Or how busy they are. lol.Originally Posted by Dustybrown
I don\'t know what Friend List+ actually *is*.
Can someone tell me if I should change my password as soon as I get home tonight? Or should I just do that automatically again (I changed my password to this forum in paranoia two weeks ago...guess it\'s that time again).
Thanks, sorry for the ultra out-of-the-loop question.
that sucks that happened alphacat >.>. I think everyone should just change their shit to be safe, half the ppl on my F.list used Flist + i told them to change their passes since they don't read BG.
If you're that worried, just change it. Stop worrying about Friend List +, it's got NOTHING to do with the use of Friend List +.Originally Posted by Talisien

FL+ is free and is automatically active on every account. It's the other (really dumb) services that they charge for.Originally Posted by klvino

In my latest round with SE via telephone today, they barely acknowledged that there was a problem with FL+. Of course, from a PR view, they would ideally say "It was just maintenance..." despite the fact that they release a "Keep your account secure" announcement at the same time. --- I spent 45 minutes on the phone with this guy and finally came away with an official request for "compromised account" review. (in order to get back from Hades to Valefor)
This time, he literally asked me how I got the account back... I guess he was expecting that my info had been changed etc.
Anyways, we'll see what happens.

Here is the simple response to anyone who asks if they should change their password:
YES
There is NO PENALTY WHATSOEVER for changing your password. If you have to ask, then you need to change.

Can I use that as my password?Originally Posted by Spider-Dan

I like using the phrase "unbreakablepassword" as my password.
And you should, too.
If you cannot come up with a good password, simply use a password generator. Here is a good one.
