Checking Dobsonflies with Widescan

tried it with /rng from the giant scale portal just N of the island, nada, rng main maybe?

i tried at the portal as 33 RNG and wasnt far enough not sure about 40

Same goes for RNG, you have to go through at least one Giant Scale portal to see anything on the Dobsonflies' island.

i'm fairly sure you can't scan them at any level. the zone is kinda weird, divided up into different hunks. you'll notice that if you open up the map screen, you can't see people on some other islands. i think it's the same for widescan. there are island groupings you can see from one another and others you can't, or it might be a number of hops away that you can't see. i haven't researched it thoroughly.

The zone has different altitudes.

The flies are placed on a level that requires you to use a scale in order to be able to see them. I've never actually tried using a scale on a unstable displacement other than the one at G-10 but it's possible that going through a different unstable displacement would allow you to widescan but you'd still be out a scale so it's a mute point.
