Yeah, this is how i can see Dancer working. Give them a Dagger and you have a winner. It's also being speculated that by having DNC in PT you can do new Weapon skills / Skill chains. Skillchain Maybe imo but not Weapon skills. Only time will tell though.

That can't possibly be right, unless the equation is different for each, which it's not.

Lowering defense is typically better point for point than raising attack (or defensively, raising defense is better than lowering attack).

    Simplifying:

    Mob Def: 4 Your Att : 4

    Def 4 > 3 = 25% def down vs. your Att of 4

    Att 4 > 5 = 20% increase vs. mobs def of 4

Yea it was, actually, since it was said about 40 times in one thread that Cait Sith was in it and instead of reading it more dipshits came in and were like "hey was that Cait Sith"?

    Get a sense of humor.

i was pretty sure that dancer is going to be an enfeebling job instead of a buffer,as cor and brd pretty much cover every aspect of buffing, thats why i was rather confused about the news before, where i read supportive job rather as buffing the pty

furthermore im pretty sure its gonna have some decent impact on endgame if the enfeebs are as useful as id imagine them to be(like cor and brd buffs, just negative effects) but unless they actually make good dds on top of that im pretty sure theyll stand there somewhat like plds xp-wise, unless they have rdm-compareable healing possibilities(cause i dont think the enfeeblings gonna be that much useful/worth it on xp mobs mobs, when meriting at least)

i think it depends on the situation. if you are talking about merits buffing your own stats is probally better. but at lower levels where level correction can possibly come into play i could see lowering the mobs stats being more effective. i was recently in a pt with my drg(lvl57) and i was raping colibri then after a few levels we moved to puks and my damage plummeted for no reason i can think of other than level correction. unless of course puks are not weak against piercing but that would be weird.

You guys are thinking in "Current" terms. Yes, currently slaping March on your party is better than slow on the Mob. But say dancer "does a little jig" and the mob suddenly attacks 50% slower. Say they "get down" and suddenly the mob has 30% less defense. So now your [multi hit weapon skill] Does more damage than it would do if you had full bard buffs! BINGO! We have a winnar.

No no no... Cait Sith IS a Time Mage. He is the quest giver for the job. He came to the future (which is our "now") to make us Time Mage's so that we can travel back into the past to fix it because the past is totally broke and needs fixing. I know because it said so on the internet, and the internet doesn't lie, ever.

(And just for the record, when this turns out to be true, i'm gonna laugh so damn hard)

Gonna pwn when all the dancers get 75 and realize they don't get buffs on par with other buffers and their hawt ass debuffs won't land on anything worth a shit.

Maybe they'll even let em do some dmg once a minute.

Who says Cait Sith 2 cant be the one to allow us to go back in time to talk to Cait Sith?

But seriously, it's actually the King of the Rarabs. I have reliable sources according to the voices in my head.

That can't possibly be right, unless the equation is different for each, which it's not.

Lowering defense is typically better point for point than raising attack (or defensively, raising defense is better than lowering attack).
That is only true if you assume that the debuffs Dancers provide will be debuffing the mob by generally the same amounts that BRDs/CORs buff us on the corresponding stat. If it's not, it would likely end up in the "shit's situational" zone which, knowing SE, is probably exactly what they have in mind

Point for point means in equal amounts.
