The shit has been hitting the fan this week in Charlotte due to the defense playing like crap. Kris Jenkins (4 time? Pro Bowl defensive end) called them out on TV and in the paper. Sunday will be a different team. Mark my words.

Coming off a bye week, 0-4 Saints ftw.
Not to mention I haven't seen Peppers do shit yet. Our Corners and Safety's are god fucking awful.

Tampa Bay (3-1) @ Indianapolis (4-0) Lots of people think that the Colts will win a very easy victory over the Bucs, but the the Bucs defense and offense has really stepped up the last few games. It all depends on how well they do without Cadillac Williams. I pick the Colts to win, but I think it will be a surprisingly close game.
Buccs lost 80% of their offense last game, amrite

Uh I would hardly call Cadillac 80% of our offense.... Guy ran for less than 1,000 yards last year and wasn't overly stellar this year as he's been hurt since day 1 against Seattle.

If Garcia were to go down (which I think is inevitable) we (the Bucs) would be screwed.

Now I'm not 100% sure yet, but they keep saying Harrison, Addai, and Bob Sanders were going to be out Sunday. If taht's the case, I can seriously see the Colts losing. Addai is their best RB by far, obviously.. losing Harrison would hurt majorly, but I think Manning knows how to spread the ball around. He has Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne still. The biggest loss would be Sanders. He's their defensive leader and you can definitely tell a difference in their defense without him in the lineup, so Bucs fans.. pray they don't play. xD

Losing Garcia would be horrid though. Can you imagine going back to Simms? :/

I highly doubt the Patriots will go 16-0.

First of all, this is the NFL. One of the things that makes the NFL awesome is the concept of an "upset." Every single team, no matter how good they are is prone to an upset. Eventually, a lesser team or a team that's just as good will find some kind of weakness in the Pats and exploit it. The Pats play the Cowboys, Colts, and the Steelers which will probably be their three toughest regular season games. They have pretty good chances of losing one of those three.

To be honest, if I think there's going to be any team this season that upsets the Pats, it will be the Browns. Their defense is still weak, but they've been able to show that they can put together an explosive offense. Then there's always the de facto upset team of Miami.

Or that little punk Gradkowski (He's a short little fag that thinks he's big shit and likes to hit on your girl with you standing right there, but I digress)

Yea the Bucs D has really stepped up and shit look what the held Steven Jackson to!?! And he didn't go out until very late in that game so the groin thing really doesn't come into play imo.

I think Bob Sanders went out at some point last year and during that time you could run a Mac Truck hauling a mobile home through the Colts D iirc??

he missed something like 14 games, came back for the playoffs and they were a whole new team. i remember the chiefs were supposed to beat them in the first round because LJ was supposed to be able to run all over them. its amazing what one guy can do for an entire team.

    Re: NFL Week 5 Picks

Cleveland (2-2) @ New England (4-0) -> I have Tom Brady, Laurence Marony, and Wes Welker on my Fantasy team <3

Seattle (3-1) @ Pittsburgh (3-1) -> Hines Ward is out, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because they are at home. It's a loud stadium.

Carolina (2-2) @ New Orleans (0-3) -> They have to win eventually? David lolCarr is starting, enough said.

Detroit (3-1) @ Washington (2-1) -> Live and die by Kitna.

New York Jets (1-3) @ New York Giants (2-2) -> Shockey on my Fantasy; I will cheer for them.

Miami (0-4) @ Houston (2-2) -> My upset for the week.

Atlanta (1-3) @ Tennessee (2-1) -> Season ticket holder. We win out the rest of the year <3 (I dream)

    Jacksonville (2-1) @ Kansas City (2-2)

    Arizona (2-2) @ St. Louis (0-4) -> STL's O-line is demolished.

    Tampa Bay (3-1) @ Indianapolis (4-0)

San Diego (1-3) @ Denver (2-2) -> LT is on my fantasy team <3

Baltimore (2-2) @ San Fransisco (2-2) -> If McNair is playing.

Chicago (1-3) @ Green Bay (4-0) -> Rooting for GB out of the NFC. Titans would kill them in the Superbowl.

Dallas (4-0) @ Buffalo (1-3) -> Despite last week's heroics at QB for Buffalo. Lee Evans is the biggest fantasy bust so far this year.

The Cowboys - Pats game has a chance to have one of the most entertaining head to head matchups ever seen. Terrence Newman hasn't been as dominant as he's learned the pro game, but I think provided he's healthy he's getting there now. When Newman was at K-state, the big 12 probably had the best group of #1 recievers it's ever had, between people like Roy Williams, that Woods guy at ostate, and a few others I can't remember, and we also played (and absolutely dominated) teams like USC and Cal. There were 2 things consistent through all of that: amazing running backs (like Darren Sproles, he was to college football what barry sanders was to pro), and Terrence Newman absolutely shutting down the best wide receivers in college football.

If he's really matured to the point I think he's at now, they might look to match him on Moss the whole game, and that could be pretty damn seriously entertaining.

    Oh, and fucking travis henry.

    Re: NFL Week 5 Picks

terence newman is the second best corner in the league, people just dont realize this because he doesnt fill out the stat box with interceptions and has been a pro bowl snub the last two years. the guy is RARELY thrown on, hes not well known amongst fans but quarterbacks and coaches know better than to test him, the man has only give up TWO touchdowns in the last TWO years, and both were last year. he is an absolute beast, people like to claim deangelo hall is the second best corner behind champ but hall is a product of the machine, he markets himself like a product and has gained name recognition from it but hes not on the level of champ, newman, mathis, or mccalister, hes just a loud mouthed clown that thinks hes deion sanders. the last two years newman has pretty much shut down any big name receiver hes been put up against, hes held TO to less than 30 yards, chased down and shut down randy moss, and the last two years against the panthers he made it seem like steve smith wasnt even on the field. shit two years ago stevey got ejected for losing his cool after newman tackled him out of bounds. i can pretty much guarantee if he had been healthy for week 1 the giants would have put nowhere near that many points on the board. that being said i doubt newman matches up on Moss all day, moss is the type of receiver you need to double every play, therefore newman will probably cover welker, completely eliminating him from the game while henry and hamlin or reeves deal with randy.

Welker is the one moving the chains for NE anyway. He should be covering him.

Moss will beat anyone else in the Coyboys' secondary, even double teamed. Maybe not every play, but enough to win the game. I can totally see them feeling like they can win a 10v10 matchup though.

Spoken like a true Cowboy fan. I hear all the time from family in TX about how Crayton is the second coming of Jerry Rice. Newman was in Parcell's dog house last year for his lack of said "covering skills". But hey who am I to judge, I like Kyle Orton over 80% of the QBs in the league now. Speaking of which he is my starter and perennial pro bowler in MY Madden franchise.

Best corner on Welker + double team on Moss = Stallworth's first big game in a Pats uniform

what a worthless thing to say, anyone saying that about crayton is delusional and anyone that knows anything about football knows newman is a top corner in the league. when someone calls chad johnson the #2 receiver in the league, do you respond with "spoken like a true bengals fan?" besides TO, i dont feel the cowboys have any other players that are top 5 in their position, so you can throw that frame of thought right out the window. i wish teams actually would pass against him just so he could fill out his stats and people would finally give him the credit he deserves, but oh well, id rather take a guy thats given up only two touchdowns in the last 35 games hes played in, than a guy like nate celements who is more known for his 80 million dollar contract than his actual skills, or a guy like chris mcalister that leads the league in PI penalties.

all of this being said, champ bailey is still the best corner in the league, and the patriots still scare the shit out of me. our pass rush has been nothing to fear and we still have safeties that cant help over the top. it doesnt matter who newman covers, a qb like brady will always find the open receiver, wouldnt be surprised to see stallworth beat us for 150 and a pair of TD's.

    Re: NFL Week 5 Picks

I don't see Johnson as the # 2 receiver in the NFL, but as I said earlier, to each their own. Newman is the second best corner in the NFL? Who am I to tell you different. People outside the confines of Dallas, such as myself, may see that completely different. Go ahead, tell me next about how Romo is a hall of famer and how he will surpass Manning, Marino and Favre in every conceivable record in history.

Cowboys fans are notoriously good at hoisting their own into the stratosphere of the Gods. I'd expect nothing less from any Cowboys fan. I didn't mean to ruffle your proverbial feathers there champ just giving my "Opinion", which is the Cowboys suck and Newman is definitely not the number 2 corner in the NFL.
