I am surprised that Remyo hasn't created a thread on this.

Congrats on Joey replacing Noah as the biggest pussy in the history of the show. I don't understand these guys who get homesick when they are only gone 6 weeks. If you're worried about your girl cheating on you two weeks after you're gone then quit dating sluts. Problem solved.

Hughes is a jerk. I just hate that dude more and more. Pressuring guys to read the Bible? WTF? Seems like everything he does is fake to show what a terrific guy he is. He's like constantly aware of the camera. I'm not sure if the much smaller Serra can beat him but I sure hope so. Just pound that smug smile off of him

I don't have a favorite picked yet. They haven't shown much of the other guys who aren't fighting that day.

I made one for TUF 5 and didnt really get any convo going so I stick with the PPVs lol. Joey is a dumbass, just quit on a huge career and his friend. Won't be able to fight in UFC, WEC, or Pride and I doubt Elitexc wants him either. Maybe lol KOTC. also lost his job teaching BJJ at Serra's gym, and lost a friend. what a douche. He was also dumb to leave for the show with just starting a new relationship lol.

I disagree with you about Hughes. Matt Hughes is one of my idols in the sport and I can't see why people don't like him. He didn't force anyone to read the bible to be reading if for religion, he was just using the book of esther to demonstrate what he wanted for his team. He wanted to illustrate that like the queen in the story he would do anything to help them. Fantastic coach imo, some people are just too hung up on religion to see it. not forcing anyone to pray with him before and after a fight either, just something he likes to do to show he cares for his students. Also, from what I've read and heard thats how he is all the time. Btw if he loses to Serra he will go up to Middleweight to fight silva or franklin.

On the flip side I totally hate Serra. I think it's because of the accent and him being a new yorker. I'm country like hughes so that may have a little to do with me liking him. He is pretty trashy and talks a lot of shit too.

Also, lol at him not bringing squat for his team when they were having the party for UFC 72.

I predict hughes will beat serra, honestly think Serra got lucky with GSP having a bad training week leading up to the fight. wasnt the GSP we all know and love.


I'm liking Mac Danzig, Dan Barrera, and George Stefanopolous(not his name but it's close >.>). Arroyo maybe he does look good on the ground.

Danzig has the most experience(former KOTC champ iirc), I dislike his apathetic tendency towards the show though. Some people would be a little more excited to be in his position(namely me even though I'm not a welterweight lol)

Dan Barrera looks like he has good heart judging by his training. Never seen him fight though.

George sounds like he is the best on team serra just by what they've been saying. likewise never seen him fight.

can't make any clear predictions till the semifinals.

Personally I think this show is one of the worst promotions ever. The main thing to like about UFC over boxing is that, the title is undisputed, and the title holders stay active fighting the best compitition. A year ago you could easily argue that Welterweight was UFCs hottest division, and now they haven't had a title fight in it for almost 8 months, I just find that to be going against what makes the league sucsessful.

A year ago you could easily argue that Welterweight was UFCs hottest division, and now they haven't had a title fight in it for almost 8 months, I just find that to be going against what makes the league sucsessful.

It's getting a lot harder to find a clear cut #1 contender in each of the divisions now though, look at the mess the light heavyweight division is in now that the #1 fighter in that division lost to someone not even in the top ten.
Serra won the chance for belt strictly off winning TUF4, dumb move imo.

the only thing I want to see happen in this show(and even though it's going to happen officially down the road) is for both hughes and serra to beat each other to death. I can't stand either of them.

And that last fight was absolutely BRUTAL. Tapping out to a guillotine (which is pretty pathetic if you even get caught in one), but TAPPING OUT to a STANDING guillotine... You deserve to be ridiculed. He started tapping as soon as he got caught.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that one. He never even tried to test his grip. From next week's previews, he is gonna get it from Hughes for quitting so quickly.

His knee buckled? Really? He's got a knee brace on now? Really? He claims he tried to get up after he fell but his knee wouldn't let him? Really???

I can't wait for next week to see what the doctor says about his knee. I saw nothing in that match that would cause injury to his knee. It looked to me like he dove to the ground as fast as he could so he could cover up and quit.

I cracked up when Serra accurately predicted what Hughes would say and do to his team after last week's loss. Hughes is a stereotype and he doesn't know it.

I think it is an injury, previews for next week have him in an immobilizer. I have had a few knee injuries, sometimes it does just buckle, I don't ever fall down because I'm not fighting while it does it. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I think team hughes might be over training because alot of the team is getting injured whereas team serra looks like they are only going 30% and still get wins. :/ Danzig is a bit of a grump, but I agree with him about richie, he does look like a douche.
