9-5 now.
So much for a comeback.

Whenever I saw that they were putting both Ellsbury and Pedroia at the top of the lineup, I knew it was going to be trouble. I had no idea they'd do THIS well, though![]()
Should the Sox manage to pull off the sweep, Francona will have the highest postseason winning percentage of all time for a manager with at least 25 postseason games. He's making less than $2mil a year through the 2008 season. Best bargain in baseball?
Holliday wut?
Yeah no shit, I thought he did get bonuses for Playoffs and World Series? I would imagine he will get a healthy off when his contract is up though.Originally Posted by Viq

I swear to fucking god if I hear you say prolific one more time......Originally Posted by Daahan

Anyway, once again.. the World Series has been a huge disappointment. This will probably be the third straight sweep that I can remember and honestly.. it's getting tiresome. :/ NL needs to stop acting as if they're Junior Varsity and step up for god sakes.
Grats Boston, it's been a while since I was sure that the best team in baseball won the World Series, but there's no doubt about it this year.
Edit:
Not counting this year, the NL has won half of the World Series' this century (including LAST YEAR). What else do you expect them to do?Originally Posted by Akiyama
God that comeback attempt had me so nervous.. Okie didn't look as sharp, obviously, and I was worried about who would pitch the 8th with 1 run lead. Who knew Crisp would finally get a hit and Sox Rookies MMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm.
Even if no sweep... Beckett looming in game5. /sex
Well, I know the D-Backs, Cards and all have won. What I mean is, looking at Interleague play, this year's WS, and just past games, the AL generally rolls over them. It's just like the AFC over the NFC in football. I guess I'm a little quick calling them all JV, but still. It's irritating to see a team struggle like this. That damn DH rule! A sweep would be nice, but a win in Boston means I probably wouldn't have to go to work the next day.![]()
Game 5 in CO too unfortunately. Game 6, the next in Boston would be on Wednesday, methinkies.Originally Posted by Heian

Reasons why!: For my birthday I got a humidifier and a de-humidifier...I put them in the same room and let them fight it out...
I put instant coffee in my microwave oven and almost went back in time.
I have a hobby...I have the world's largest collection of sea shells. I keep it scattered on beaches all over the world. Maybe you've seen some of it...
man... you're prolific... oh waiiiiit...

This is going to be over tonight. Sweep the Rockies incoming; I'm sorry but they can't bat for shit, and you really need to be able to bat against Boston because their batters are just too damn good.
I agree. The Rockies fucking forgot what patience was when it comes to hitting. "Ohi, I'm gonna swing at every first pitch."
lol @ hr
Oh god Gange is warming up....We need to be up ten more runs before he pitches.
rofl @ kielty homering @ the top of the 8th, was alittle afraid when rockies got a run in the 7th
