I hope Torre does well out there. From a Red Sox fan perspective, I can't remember him being anything but a class act in his decade+ with the Yankees. Two times really stick out in my mind as examples. After the 2004 ALCS Torre had a press conference in which he said how disappointed he was, but that on the other side of the field is Tim Wakefield who gets to go to the World Series after what happened in 2003. For those that don't remember, Wakefield gave up the 11th inning game 7 walk-off to Aaron Boone in the ALCS. Fast forward to April 2005, the Red Sox home opener was against the Yankees. While the Sox were getting their rings, Torre and his entire team stood on the top step applauding. After 12 years of being part of that rivalry, Joe Torre has earned my respect, and the respect of practically every Sox fan.

What mention of Torre's days with the Yankees coming to a close would be complete without Suzyn Waldman?

I just thought of this when I was driving home from work yesterday... Will the Red Sox try to trade Manny away again next year? :D It almost seems like every time they do this, they win the whole thing ;o

Worked the parade today...was pretty nice. Well not so much worked, but pretended I was working to get acess inside the routes lmao.

Best sign I saw, was "I have a Papelboner" ..... or the sign on the back of the Boat David Ortiz was on. I'll upload some pictures when I can....


However, if you were at the parade.... and saw a red head, wearing a blue Boston Police "CSI as the crowd called it" windbreaker, with a camera walking with the parade that would be me.

haha..... nope, I was more in the copley area. A few buddies were video taping fenway, i'll ask it they got any of it on tape.
