I'm honestly gonna go with Dbacks<>Indians...They've both impressed me this year; but damnnit We slept on Cleveland a very strong team.
Sabathia vs. Beckett on Friday. That has Game of the Year potential. Both are great teams, but I've gotta take the Sox. Beckett will do better against the Cleveland lineup than Sabathia will against Boston, especially at Fenway. I've got to imagine Carmona and Matsuzaka will go head-to-head, which favors Cleveland. Schilling on the mound against Westbrook in games 3 and 7 favor Schilling, particullarly in Fenway game 7 if it comes to that. Byrd and Wakefield if he's healthy, possibly Lester if not? I'll take my chances with Wakefield's experience, but if it ends up being Lester then gg Cleveland. The series will be close, and really either team could come out as AL champs. I've gotta be a homer and pick the Sox, though.
Looks fairly accurate. Either way, going to be a hell of a series, can't wait.
I'm a NL guy but I'm finding it hard to believe that either team has a chance of winning the WS. They just don't have any sexy name pitchers. The only aces left are in the AL.

lolNY, lets try and buy a championship again and get pwned in the face in 4 games.
Livan Hernandez may not be an ace, but he's started 12 postseason games and knows how to pitch when the pressure is on.
Yankees bring in the ratings, there are the poeple who love to watch them win, but also people who love to watch them lose
D-Backs vs Rockies is gonna be a west coast ordeal, and alot of east coasters arent even going to pay attention and just watch the highlights on ESPN
Indians vs Red Sox might get a boost due to yankee fans hoping Cleveland does the same thing they did to them, done to Boston, but it will be a wil World Series
I have Rockies taking the D-Backs out in 5
I have the Red Sox taking out Indians in 6
World Series = Red Sox win their second world series within 4 years after taking out Rockies in 5 games, I would so F'n love a Snow Storm in Colorado by the time World Series to start, that is truly October Baseball ROFL, but with Global Warming and the weird fucking stance nature is taking, watch it be 85 degrees till the end of the series, and then the weather change to -20 next day ; ;
as some one who used to live in CO and went to a bunch of the 1st season games, go rocks!
Change in the Red Sox rotation
Games 1 & 5 - Beckett
Games 2 & 7 - Schilling
Games 3 & 6 - Matsuzaka (I might've misheard Francona, or he might've mispoke. I can't see Matsuzaka pitching on 3 days of rest)
Games 4 - Wakefield/Lester
Schilling facing Carmona in game 2 could drastically change the series from what I had originally thought. There's a very good chance that the series will be 2-0 Boston when it heads to Cleveland. If that's the case then I don't see Cleveland coming back in the series.
this thread almost hit page 3, so had to bump it back up, especially since the NLCS starts tonight. I keep reading that people dont care about this series. Is that true? I live in Connecticut, and neither of these teams are "my team." However, I can't wait. I think this series is going to be amazing + exciting. Some of the best young talent are on these two teams, and it's going to be one hell of a series!
and the NLCS has started...Willy Taveras leading off, and hes been hurt for like 4-5 weeks...hasnt played since Sept. 8, but hes had success against Webb. And he grounds out lol...o well, recap later =)
Bases loaded, 0 outs.. Dbacks up 1-0, but double play just got turned so now runner on 3rd, 1-1, 2 outs. Webb dancing outta danger here possibly.
rockies are lookin real good. Batters are bein' real patient and thus making Webb's pitch count sky-rocket. Base-hit for Hawpe with bases-loaded, and its now 4-1 Rockies 8)
colorado's manager just puleld his team off the field cuz Arizona fans were throwing stuff on the field after a properly called interference play (imo).
and the rockies take game 1...damn they looked dominant. Didnt even get an extra base hit. This team is on fire lol
If Webb couldn't put up a fight (I know, he sucked against the Rockies this season, but he's still Brandon Webb) then I don't think Arizona will be able to hold off Colorado. I hope they at least make it a more competitive series than what we saw tonight. Of course, the ALCS should be competitive enough to make up for it.
except for game 7 of the world series for the san francisco giants /wristOriginally Posted by Akiyama
