Bismark endgame LS - looking for members

    Update:
That time of the season again. Nine Inch Ninjas is a Bismarck Endgame shell. We have opened our doors once again to fill out the roster. We lost a bunch of people to IRL over the last 2-3 months, and we are looking to fill some very big shoes. We do a little of everything, but most of our focus is on scheduled events. I'll go over the LS a little bit and then cover the requirements and what we are looking for.

We are a low man shell, right now the recruitment cap is 24 members. We've killed just about everything in the game with 6-18 people. We usually host 2-3 events daily, and king/toah NMs when have enough. Right now our roster is at 18 members, so there are about 6-8 spots I'll be looking to fill. We are very active, and work very hard for our members. Our loot system is (In my opinion) one of the best I've run across. It's something that has been tweaked over and over again, and frequent input from LS members is welcome. No system is perfect, but we try and keep things as fair and unbiased as possible. Our loot system also prevents older, inactive members from maintaining a strangle hold on rare drops in the shell. We have a strict attendance requirement for the shell to remain on the roster. The LS members are very outspoken and fun to play with. We are all very critical of each other, so we are always developing our characters as a result. Ventrilo is very funny, as long as you aren't too squeamish or easily offended.

As for events, I'll cover them in more detail.

Sea - We have a ton of torques and capes in the shell. We have started selling extras to make a little extra cash for the bank. We alternate farming in the mornings between sea and sky, taking breaks some weeks as to not burn out. We can kill all the inside jailers with 6 or less, but we'll use anyone that comes. Assuming jobs allow it, we will always try to divide into smaller groups to farm many NMs to increase efficacy. Daily farming on weekdays (alternating)

Sky - We don't really need much from sky, we will mostly just be farming up Kirin sets and helping people with pop sets for gods. Daily farming on weekdays (alternating)

Limbus - We are probably one of the best limbus groups on Bismarck. Even with as few as we have atm, we still manage to farm many chips and sets on the weekends which allows us to pop an Ultima or Omega every Tuesday, sometimes multiple. With so few members to gear up, even our mules are getting drops now. Twice a week (multiple runs per day)

Einherjar - We have a private shell we use to fill out our numbers for Einherjar. We easily cleared out to Tier 3, but we lost 8 people in a couple months which set us back. With the LS at full staff it will be a cake walk getting back to Odin. Twice a week.

Dynamis - We are one of the best Dynamis shells I've been a part of. Low numbers makes it much more challenging. We don't let that set us back tho, clearing more then most larger groups. Dynamis is a lot more fun and everyone plays a much greater role when you take so few in. Not to mention the waiting list for most gear is a lot shorter when you have so few. Twice a week.

ENM/BV2 - We have a very good system for ENMs and BV2 that allow us to spend the least time farming possible. We do the Bahamut BC every week as a result of our stockpile of orbs. Weekly runs.

Salvage - This another area where we really stand out. With out question we are best end game LS for salvage on Bismarck, and most likely one of the best cross server. We have unlocked over 100 salvage pieces and we have been doing salvage for much less time then many older shells. With only 18 members in the shell, all of our members have many pieces, and we have many that are rotting or being sold. We have an LS funded system to unlock Salvage bodies for LS members, and our shell has the most unlocked salvage bodies on our server. Usually host 3 runs daily, some earlier and some later to try and give everyone a chance to go. 2-4 runs daily.

HNMs & Kings - With more members we'll be camping anything we have ToD for. We do prioritize main events over kings, so people who enjoy camping kings should also be flexible schedule wise, as some of the camps are very early or late. This is something we will be doing more often once our roster is filled out again.

As for what we are looking for, we don't really have individual jobs we are looking for. We are looking for skilled, flexible players. Read the following link, it covers expected attendance, jobs, gear, and merits to qualify:
    http://nineinchninjas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8675
This link has what is expected of trial members and how to apply:
    http://nineinchninjas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8307

We are looking for a solid main tank, paladin perf., who also has at least 1 other useful job at 75. The person should be very active, as it takes a great deal of time and energy to properly gear out tank jobs.

Other then that, we will be recruiting 6-8 more members for trial, any applicants that have read over and feel they are a good fit for the shell are welcome to apply. We are very active, this is a good shell for people who really love to play this game, and play it often.

Been lazy about the front page update, will get around to it soon.
Also, this thread is till in the old forum, if someone could move it I would appreciate it.
Nine Inch Ninjas, a Bismarck LS, is looking for a few more members. We recently lost a few good members to RL and are looking to fill out 8 spots on our roster. We are a low number LS that is very active. Events 6 days a week, salvage runs almost every day, Einherjar, Bv2, northland and CoP Dynamis, lots of sea and sky, omega or ultima every week, and more. We've beaten DL several times with as low as 16 people, and can easily beat him with more. There is a Gjallarhorn in the shell and soon a second Aegis. We also have 2 Mandaus, a Kikoku, and a Annihilator. We are very close to unlocking another Aegis (stage 5@3000), another Annihilator(stage5@800), and soon a Amanomurakumo. In the 3 months of Salvage runs we have collected 9 35 pieces from salvage, and are finishing the process of unlocking 3 more of them. We are very active, about 10-12hrs of events per day. So there is always something to do. We keep our numbers low, there is never more then 24 members in the LS. As a result, competition for gear is usually small. We don't use a point system, so newer players don't need to worry about farming gear for people that never logon.

The LS is PST based, EST'ers are welcome, but expect to be up late some nights (at late as 3am EST). Having access to Ventrilo is a huge plus. You would be hard pressed to keep up without it. We are very active, and we reward players who are active as well. Everyone is welcome to post any questions about the linkshell on our site, http://www.NineInchNinjas.com.

We are looking for players with 2 or more jobs at 75, more is welcomed. You must have sea, sky and salvage access. You can play from any system (PS2, xbox, PC), but access to a computer with ventrilo is a huge must. Also having a kraken club is a bonus.

Looking for people with the following job combos:
WHM, RDM, BRD, COR (any 2 of the 2 jobs at 75 would be good)

MNK, SAM, THF, RNG, DRK (any 2-3 of them 5 would be good)

BLM AND RDM, WHM, SMN, BST COR (blm + any of the others listed)

Almost any 2 jobs would work, as long as both jobs are equipped well enough to use for events. Of course cross server apps are welcomed, everyone is free to check our our site or ask questions about the LS on our forums.

From your homepage, that's just sick

While the amount of JoL's our linkshell has done would probably look like that if they we're all in one spot, it's just insane seeing them all there in one spot...

That's definately impressive. I've done Xarc with much more and didn't even get to DL I've also done Dyna-Windurst with less than 1 alliance that went down to about 12 at one point and so I get what you're saying when you say it is smooth. When everyone does their job effiently.. it's so nice.. Man I love low-number events <3

Re: Bismark endgame LS - looking for members

Thank you, I appreciate that. I'm proud of what we've done in the shell. We've killed every indoor jailer with 6 or less, straight tank faith ftw. We've had a perfect (no deaths) prudence with 16. 25, 18 and 16 man DL kills. Cleared 6 einherjar runs with 19 or less. Our salvage progress is awesome, we unlocked the pld and blm bodys 5 weeks after starting salvage. Not to mention other pieces. Overall, we've done very well. We've had our fair share of bad weeks too. Our Aegis pld died on genbu, wiped to ultima a few times for making silly mistakes (trying to melee zerk with shield up), even wiped to a KS99 before when our blm nuked on his tale. We aren't perfect, but we learn a lot each time we make a mistake, and next time come at it better prepared. The LS schedule has been changed so many times I've lost count. Trying to find the perfect times to do events. Alternating events so the 3 day wait times don't overlap. Picking key times for events to avoid competition. Finding little tips like moving the alliance to a corner to pull statues solo to avoid links (important with lower number runs). Never farming a run for limbus chips with more then 6 people. We've made so many little changes here and there, to make things more efficient and effective. We wiped to the valk boss quite a few times, and just changing 2 little things, like rdm positioning changed everything. The best time I've had in game has been with this LS. We aren't perfect, but I don't know if perfect would be as much fun, lol.

Re: Bismark endgame LS - looking for members

I've gotten a few people asking, "is it too late?". No it's not, in 1 month we have another spot to fill due to work now as well. So we are looking for closer to 9-10 applicants, still plenty of room, lol. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM on our boards, if you have trouble registering there, everyone is welcome to send me them here as well. I won't ask anyone to trial or migrate unless I think they have a solid chance of getting in.

We decided to hold all of our sets till they tell us how to kill AV, I want 20+ JoL sets ready for when people figure out what to do. I know there is no guarantee that they will show us exactly what needs to be done. But I have a feeling that if we figure out how to kill him, and its something simple, or silly, I would of regretted using the pop items before hand. Most of AV's drop far outweigh JoL's atm. I have no doubt we could kill him tho. We have a very solid group of darks and we just got our 5th Could Evoker, so with luck we'll have a few more BZ's in the shell soon as well.

Sounded more to me like he said when they figure it out, and is also assuming that DRKs would be either necessary or a big help in the fight. Not that he's divising his entire strategy around DRKs.

They aren't the center piece, it just speeds things up a lot.

Just don't be another Apathy and try to boast about how you can kill AV with all of your uber DRKs.
