i guess no one is reading that the past few nights i've spent 5+hours on every single nash>whitegate boat doing everything that people keep mentioning and thensome...

I have followed the thread, it might just be that its spawn window is different than when u have been around trying ideas, or maybe it's window never changes unless its spawned (aka: if its supposed to spawn at the 8-11am window after "X" number of apkallu's killed, and AA never spawned because the conditions were not met, then its possible that it will stay at the 8-11am window until it at least spawns). All speculation but these are things that need to be considered. I wish I could offer something more than speculation... I have not really played FF (aside randomly talking to friends, ect) in a few months because of lack of time.

i don't think anyone has traded the stew to the treasure hunt npc. the .dat in the dialogue doesn't mention the boat and totoroon asks for sugary foods, while the stew is seafood. but idk ><.

does anyone happen to have (or know where to get) the updated offsets for npctool. i haven't used that in like forever, but if i were able to get it to work, i could tell if almighty apkallu has ever been up on the boat (since last maintainance).

if this guy's reliablie, then AA was already on the boat, and so their hate level/food probably had nothing to do with it...

AA wasn't in the game when AhtUrhgan was released.... unless he considered "around the release" to be 3 months after release.

I checked all the new recipes and found that Peeled Lobster can now be made with Isaktoz, not only is that a fish needed for Nashmau Stew but also the only new recipe/ bait made with a fish that Apkallu eat. Perhaps it is fished up but a specific type of bait is needed, more specifically, Peeled Lobster.

If this is the post you're referring to, then I'm taking it with a grain of salt since it provides no evidence other than "my friend saw X awhile ago, but doesn't know anything else." Until more information is provided I'll still continue to speculate new theories.

went to mt.z, got 2 npc apkallu to follow me. warped back to nashmau, got on the boat, no apkallu popped.

just got myself some peeled lobster and gonna try this now.

actually, i was kinda hoping somebody knew this person and could rope him into the discussion. i found the post above with the almighty Google and have no idea who it is, what server, etc.

The only Kakusaijin I know of is a BST75 on Gilgamesh server. Several other jobs at 75, has endgame gear including a Temp Axe. Not sure if it's the same guy. Hope this helps.

it's a conspiracy; there are rooms full of monkeys on typewriters whose job security depends on this thread producing no useful information before the thread gets too large and a mod locks it.

the apkallu hate, besieged, and nashmau stew ideas were really good and deserve a revisit, and I really think that guy who suggested that a key item for a nonrepeatable quest is involved was on the right track.

does he have any more info other than "yeah i saw it"

idk. i hope so. he said he and his buddy finished up the corsair quest and hopped on the boat. they didn't fight it; it didn't aggro.

sorry to have to get you this all via hearsay, but, well, it is what it is.

Maybe it pops once every 100 rl days and since there are so many server maintenances thats why its never up.



...Maybe the bst mistook a normal apkallu for almighty? Its sort of strange that it would just be chilling up one time then never seen again.

Might sound retarded, but maybe there needs to be a certain amount of people on the boat to spawn it? That report says on the way back from the corsair quest, back then an asston of people were riding the boat(s) at the same time, as no one had IS or runic portals. Could be nothing though.
