Not likely, but could you use something like " Blackened Muddy Siredon" on an apkallu? Most of those medecine items are exclusive to BC, but I believe you can use anima and salt outside.

i'm about to goto bed, but i thought i'd ride the boat one time just for fun... an apkallu was up when i boarded, killed it, it dropped an apkallu egg, i ate it, 2min40seconds later, an apkallu jumped on board. i fought and it used beak lunge. i killed it, but we were nearing alzahbi, so nothing happened.

i don't know what/if the egg had anything to do with it, i've eaten the egg before(just thought i'd add this detail in), but 2min40seconds is a really low repop time.... for like anything in the game, so either they have super low repop time, or that was the 1st/2nd apkallu in the dats.

Boat mobs have weird repop times, and sometimes even depop for no reason after a short while. I've seen crabs and pugils do it, too.

I had the same happen to me, but i didn tfought any. Special note they was the only mobs that popped.. i wonder if the one that is allready up is the PH or something =(

Nothing apart from it having a stun proc on its regular attack and appearing on the ferry. It also says it drops Skanda Boots. Pretty much nothing other than what Zam has.

I tried kiting the apkallu 4 time today. and nothing obviously. I will try maxing hate next weekend or when I have some free time.

So far I've tried the following tests:
Ate an Apkallu egg with no hate, in front of an Apkallu
Killed 3 Apkallu on the same ride. Ate another egg immediately after killing the last one.
Killed 6 more a little later, ate some more eggs.
Later, I rode back on a boat immediately after I saw Proteus spawn and be allowed to despawn - well, not so much "be allowed" as "eat the rdm and bst who tried to wax him", but he naturally despawned anyway. Not sure if it matters, but he depopped the instant the ship hit a fog bank.

Still no spawn so far. Something tells me the egg is a red herring...

Edit: I'd like to note that I ate the last two eggs (after the five kills) one in front of the sixth Apkallu and one right after I killed it. I also ate one on an empty boat, and one before I left the pier.

3 jps rode the ship, they were pissed when i engaged the birdy. guess they think almighty's time spawn?
