Dunno if this helps any (probably not) but I'm intrigued with these unfound NMs and peeps did a great job on Ravin Raven.

I can't see the NM being linked to fishing skill. Are any mobs in the game linked to fishing skill? I don't think so.

They didn't used to be. I used to fish up devil mantas with 0 fishing skill by sneaking myself and letting 2 pugils and 2 crabs sit out untouched, and the 5th mob I'd pull up would be a devil manta.

I haven't done that since the fishing update, but from what I hear, you can't pull up devil mantas with 0 skill anymore.

So fished up mobs do seem to be tied with skill, now.

Go read the KI PLD forums. You will have to dig alot, and i believe it's in the post pictures of your paladin thread but there's also a thread regarding this bird. A guy DID kill it and DID get the Sanguin Sword off of it. I don't feel like digging up the info though

Would be nice to find out what makes this guy pop. I hope it isn't stupid like "AC has to be gone, you have to have a galka, on the boat, in a subligar, on full moon, and his level has to be divisable by 3" or some shit...

to fish up any mob takes 0 fishing skill. I farm angel skins ..fishing up Devil Mantas and my skill is 1 i think.

The idea that it is a 21-24 hr pop when the AC is gone was made up by people that were lying about where they got sanguine sword, so that condition probably shouldn't be given much thought.

I know which pld you are talking about (starlink I believe?), and he is the one that started these dumbass rumors(that the apkallu drops sanguine sword, that it spawns when the AC is out, and that it spawns on the boat to nashmau when it isn't even in the .dats for it). He got the sword from blitzkrieg assault.

I have fished up orobons, the orobon nms, and devil mantas within the past few months with 1 fishing skill, btw.

It wasn't that he was not believed, it was that he didn't provide any sort of proof or even details for like four posts that made people skeptical. With as many people out there that like to claim this that and the other (like the PLD with AA, as has already been mentioned), taking claims with a grain of salt is not a bad idea.

Ahh, i see. So the only way to get Sanguin Sword is through Blitzkrieg? I know Starlink isn't the first one who started that rumor. People some how found out or were trying to go after Almighty for that sword before he got it. It might just be a rumor but is there anything to disprove it?

Agreed, I mean. It's been a year now, and some guy comes up out of the blue and says "Hey I ran away from that, it's a Quest NM" and first thing in my mind is "How the hell can it be a year later and this thing be a Quest NM".

Guess we know how popular the quest really is now.

it's a pretty high drop rate (for being a rare/ex item in assault) and is the only 'unique' item from the ??? sword in that assault; so I would surprised if it dropped anywhere else

(not saying this is 100% proof it can't. but it's a strong indicator).

When did i ever say he wasn't lying? I said to check the KI PLD forums because there was info and speculation and rumors on this. There was a guy who had a "Confirmed" sanguin sword who "Said" he got it off Almighty Apkallu, however. It now looks as though that was a lie. I have heard of several people confirming it comes from Blitzkrieg, so for awhile i thought it possibly came from both. But with the logic behind it, i would say the Birdman cape would be a more logical drop off it. Or those Boots. Who knows. I never said it is certain Starlink got the sword off Almighty Apkallu
