Maybe that's the second apkallu in the .dats?... More likely it's just a rare TP move used at low hate judging by the SS thou.

I've fought a ton of apkallu and never seen that move thou.

EDIT: I notice it says unable to see apkallu in your SS, could it be something positional? Were you running around?

Well, the SS kinda proves it, but even without a screenshot, you could check.

i thought this was mentioned near the start, but then again i do have a bad memory and i do see things from time to time, it is a good idea also maybe you have to have a full inventory so you return the fish, birdie grabs fish and lands on boat <,<;

Which would mean Almighty Apkallu also uses Wing Whirl, however while the infallible JP sites include it's Stun added effect, they neglect to mention Wing Whirl.

Additionally, those same sites mention that it uses Yawn, suggesting a low-hate pop. This is further backed up by the screenshot showing an apkallu using both Yawn and Wing Whirl, and the poster mentioning it was with low hate.

Of course, how those sites even know about Almighty Apkallu's additional stun effect, or that he uses Yawn, is a mystery.

Since it seems that only Apkallu on the ship can use the move, it's possible that Wing Whirl is used to pop the NM somehow. If it's just a normal TP move then it's unlikely as I'm sure someone would have popped it by now, but the screenshot seems to suggest that it may have been moving around, so it's possible that it was triggered by range or position.

Has anyone tried equipping the Narval and eating some Hamsi, then fishing using sliced sardine as bait? lol.

Kite said placeholder until it wing whirls with wind weather on windsday, during a full moon, causing AA to pop.

Wing Whirl is used by all Apkallus. Keep fighting and you'll see it. Just because you hit for 0-3 damage, doesn't mean you can't kill them; ranged attacks were still always doing max damage while my melee hits were almost nothing. (As NIN with Katana/Ungur boomerang)

So, I tried to fish. Rod broke first try. I went back with another rod and peeled crayfish, and damn, it's hard. Managed to pull back one fish in 10 attempt (I ate it after). Gonna try different lure, but I dont think it's something that simple.

I tried fishing for almighty with sliced hamsi (the aht version of bastore sardine) since its an apkallu's favorite food (Revealed in Apkallu Siezure) to no avail, you might wanna try that some.

Anyone found any ???'s that they haven't found a use for? Maybe its something like Fomor Codex NMs or something. But all the ??? would do is bring another Goblin Wolfman to the table =/. Maybe if you feed a ridill to an Apkallu it spawns AA.

Try catching a shit-tone of Hamsi on the boat. If it's their favorite food, maybe if you catch his dinner he'd be pissed and come up for it.

I would assume he was facing away from it to avoid yawn. Just casting spells backwards like any normal blu.
