I'm really leaning toward random pop during x conditions. If it popped on Bismarck without anyone's knowledge...wouldn't it have to be like that? I think I'm going to stop killing Apkallu

Have we tried "holding" them by keeping them slept? I dunno, "Yawn" as a TP move might mean they're normally tired, and like sleeping... At a stretch, maybe they "dream up" AA, and it pops... (Good lord, I hate this NM, and I've only camped him once! >< What an odd creature...)

I dunno, that's all I can think of right now that hasn't been stated directly (The occurance of two Apkallu's popping and having them slept while "goofing off" around them made me think of this theory.) Still scratching over here, though... -.-a

I like the that tired/yawning idea and I just came up with a theory. Maybe they are tired little guys and want to be put to sleep, then maybe there is a trick to increase your hate level only while they are asleep. Could it be possible there is a way to max the hate only while they sleep then "wake" it and reeeaaaally piss it off. Maybe waking them from sleep is a huge hate level boost. Maybe if you let it wake up naturally or attack it it might morph into Almighty apkallu? Maybe is the key word and I'm running out of ideas here but this actually seems somewhat possible and worth some testing.

It's got nothing to do with random ass tricks to boost hate level or combine hate level. It's popped on a few servers, so the chance of that is .000000000000000001%

Yes, I camped this for awhile one night with nothing to do and emotes was the first thing I tried. It popped and I spammed emotes (all of them) until the boat docked. Nothing

Just got a 2 Apkallu pop, on the ship to Nashmau. I engaged one and the MNK killed the other. I proceeded to spam blue magic on the one I had. I believe it used yawn first then when the MNK killed the Apkallu next to it, it used Wing Slap as the next TP move. Next 2 TP moves were Beak Lunge. Perhaps the Apkallu #7 is the one with extremely weird hate? Perhaps we must kill an Apkallu in front of another Apkallu to build hate fast on the boat? I rode the boat to Whitegate and saw another Apkallu spawn but it had completely normal hate and was only using Yawn. I killed it with ease and nothing else has popped. Still riding the boat. Will post SS of the Apkallu Wing Slapping me. Oh, I also asked some people on the boat if they had anything like this happen to them, but all I got was smart ass remarks. Oh well.

New interesting fact: I have figured out why the 3 Apkallus' hate levels were acting strangely. It appears if you kill an Apkallu before/while holding another, the hate level will rise significantly. The odd thing is your hate is reset each time you zone back into a city. I am beginning to believe this pop has something to do with the odd characteristics of the hate on the boat. The hate on the boat has no connection to any other Apkallus, why? I believe it is somehow used to spawn AA. I fought an Apkallu side by side another group after I had already killed one. The first one that I killed only did Yawn, their's did frigid shuffle, while mine did beak lunge then wing slap after the other group killed their's. Coincidence? I must sleep now but I will continue later.

Is it possible to get max "boat apkallu hate" before zoning into city? It's a long shot but maybe there is a way to prevent your hate from being reset, via quest. Then you keep riding ship back and forth acquiring enough apkallu hate on the boat to pop AA or something..

Just 5. Then the "Silver Seas Route from Nashmau to Al Zahbi" zone (the one you d/c'd from) is running again. But I'm not sure if it lets you reconnect back onto the boat after it's docked and left from Nashmau again.

I did a few rounds on the ferry tonight, still didn't see any sign of Almighty Apkallu or Apkallu #7 in memory. I did see Apkallu #8 and played with him for a while, making sure he was alive at the end of 3 or 4 successive trips (he always repopped again at the start of the next trip). However, the last trip I saw him I brought him down to 3% then let the ferry ride end, and the next trip he wasn't around. So he must have decided he had enough.

If memory serves, the amount of attacks = the hate, or so it was thought.

Has anyone tried taking a LOLweapon like pitchfork and Penta thrust spamming for hate?

I don't know, here are the pics. Both of these were fought after one Apkallu was killed by me. You can see the level 2 hate TP moves in the pics and the 3rd level hate TP move on the last line of the 2nd picture.

You do realize AA only spawns on the Nashmau to AlZhabi boat, yes? Most of your info keeps coming from the Alzhabi>Nashmau boat Killer.
