Sometimes I take boats and thats usually afk time for me, I don't even go above deck most of the time but I'm still there. Maybe it only spawns while someone is on the boat but below decks? Maybe it's shy and won't spawn if your above deck. That would suggest how it could pop but go unseen. I'd suggest to try hiding out below and useing widescan to catch the elusive bird. ...and for some odd reason im playing with my music/sound effects on, and right at the end of the ride, i hear this weird sound like birds having an orgasm, i go crazy trying to see whats making the sound, then i notice theres like 7 weird blue birds flying above the ship, then an apkallu pops right as we dock. anyways is that normal?

Giving up is the reason Salvage took almost a full year (i can't think for time, but it's been a really long time) to be fully known, and it still isn't lol.

No info on how, but AA has popped on Midgard since last maintenance (like 5 days ago).
Seems to have depopped at full health so either nobody saw it or it killed them.

The regular Apkallu #7 hadn't popped.

We lost the candy shortly before the maintenance (maybe a few days? I don't remember) so maybe it's related to a low level besieged - like, spawns during level 4 Besieged or something. (Long shot...)

So basically next maintenance everyone will say "Fuck HNM camps, let's hop the ship from Nashmau to Whitegate!" ._.

If this is correct then I suspect there is nothing that we can do to pop him per se, but it seems to be a weird combination of conditions that will make him pop. He was probably up and no one was around to see it. Damn this bird

Maybe Apkallu #7 is bugged and doesn't pop. It's possible that the NM was up right after maintenance, but since #7 never pops there is no other chance for the NM to pop.
